2011+ 55-60mph 5.0 Shuddering and EcoBoost Engine Miss/Loss of Power - Possible Fixes
I understand that but i kno from a lot of other ppl with turbos take their cats out so the turbos don't have so much back pressure from the exhaust system. The turbos alone give enough back pressure to the engine.
So far so good with the uphill shudder. I thought I may have just barely felt it at one point but it also could have been the road. Not sure if mpg has increased. Will know more on that tomorrow. It has definitely helped...how much is yet to be determined.
The dealer nearest here is a smaller dealer and they are VERY conservative with their warranty stuff. Not many hills within 5-10 miles of the dealer to demonstrate on.
Seeing mixed results whether this actually fixes the issue or not. Please continue to post your truck information in the sticky if you have the vibration/shudder:

I should preface that I am coming from primarily GM in the past so very little experience with Ford service but here's the part I never have gotten. Even though there is a TSB out on a problem and you go in and report the problem, the stupid service department won't install the TSB until they actually duplicate it?
If caring about the customer is nothing more than marketing BS, why can't a customer go in and simply explain the defect, point them to a known TSB for it, and have the TSB applied without duplication? This ends meaning intermittent problems are rarely fixed.
Not only can this problem be a safety issue in heavy traffic, I suspect it is going to cause premature failure of something with the torque converter, turbos, and waste gates all fighting each other under these conditions plus the unnecessary stresses applied to the engine and entire drive train.
I felt early on this seemed an awful lot like a torque converter lock up problem I had on my 442 years ago with then a premature lock up and delayed unlock problem causing serious shuddering. Now throw in dual turbos, waste gates, and what I believe to be a cold weather way over rich problem too causing our crappy mileage and black tail pipes and BINGO!
It's all starting to make sense . . .
Though mine hasn't been happening nearly as often here on the flats of Kansas as some of you, I am anxious to get this one behind me! Going in for service next week.

Well, I'm at the dealer and they don't give a rats *** what dozens of pages and people here say. They are checking it for codes and if the codes aren't there, doesn't look like they're gonna touch it. I just went for a ride with the tech and he felt it but the nitwit advisor said what's going on in my truck and the tsb are different? Really? If I waste 3+ hours here for nothing I'm gonna be furious.
