I'm confused. I just went to my dealer for the TSB and they said my truck is all up to date. This is the first time I've had my truck in to them since last year. There is no way it could be if the TSB just came out on Feb 15, 2012.

Do they have to do a re flash or something?

The issue with my truck is exactly as the first line of the TSB says: “intermittent surge on moderate acceleration” etc. And there have been times I felt that the Cat was clogged and subsequent momentary driving like a “mad man” seemed to cure it for the next few hundred miles.

Hopefully the Houston dealers will start to get some experience on this so it can be resolved.

As anyone in Houston had this TSB applied yet?

Did you go to Al Packer in White Marsh ?? I am going on Monday. Seems like a wasted trip for me ! Nothing sounds too promising ! If this doesn't help it....I'm trading it in.....taking the loss....and getting something else ! Probably not a Ford !

No. I went to Plaza in Bel Air. I work in Essex and usually just go there to drop off for service. It seems a little better than it was buy this certainly wasn't a magic fix for me.

Well that was a waste of an hour and half. Just got back from the dealer and the truck shudders just as bad after the reflash as it did before. At least my gear indicator is on all the time now.
I guess it's time I got around to calling Ford Customer Care and complain.

I had mine done today, imediatly took it out on the open highway to verify...it still shudders. Even worse now than before IMO but, I will give the PCM some time to relearn and see what happens...service advisor said and I quote: " the shudder may go away after around 1000 or more miles, give it some time and if the issue is not corrected by then, bring it back for the next update that may be out by then" I will atleast give her that much because she was the first service advisor to acknowledge my problem and help me out! I will keep all posted on progress untill the next "fix" comes out!

I talked to my service manager too after the install. He said everthing should be set back to the factory settings. He couldn't understand why it still shuddered. I wonder if Ford even did anything with this TSB other than the original factory settings. My guy also said to wait a 1,000 miles. I think these service depts are hearing something from Ford and not passing it on. I truely believe we are just being strung along until you have had your truck a year and then the lemon laws won't apply and Ford is home free.

Just picked up my truck about an hour ago. Reset the impg before I left and so far I'm up about 5 mpg then it wasn't getting. Didn't hear the waste gates acting up either. I have a mountain I have to drive every night so I will post the results after work tonight. So far so good though!

Just got mine back. Shudder is better but still there. Don't know about fuel mileage yet.
