I have a obd bluetooth and pulled my codes right when it happened. Shut the truck off turned back on and codes are gone, made sure to tell dealer that I did not delete them. The codes are po300, po304, po305, po306, all misfire codes that were not stored.

Got one too and ready to do the same thing when it happens.

Anybody run a vehicle health report right after this has happened?

Just got a call from dealer stating the bulletin that is out right now says do not do anything to the truck, replacing ignition components will not resovle the issue of stumbling under load after being at highway speeds and maybe more prominent during rainy or high humidity conditions, engineering is still investigating. I knew this would happen but going to get more paperwork for having it in for lemoning if thats what it comes down to.

I believe that is the wording from the February service message that points the dealers to TSB 12-2-10.

From what I've seen, it does appear to be a CAC (inter-cooler) design issue otherwise they would just be replacing faulty coil-packs, injectors, and fuel pumps and back charging their suppliers.

If the CAC is/was being redesigned, they will probably need to re-certify the engine with the EPA. Since any redesign would also be reflected in the MY2013 build the EPA test would probably be done at the same time, hence the delay.

had a 2010 f250 6.4 diesel that did the same thing in rain. it was all over the ford diesel forums. you would try accelerating when it was humid or raining out and the whole truck would shudder you would get a bunch of white smoke out the tailpipe and you would go no where. The first time it happened I thought my truck blew up. Ford ended up coming out with a TSB and updated intercooler, I had it replaced under warranty and the problem was solved.

I haven't experienced this yet with my brand new eco, but I'm sure I will living in seattle. lol

Tsb 12-2-10 was a reflash and possible cat replacement, I had the tsb done. I just e-mailed ford and got a quick response saying my case is escalated and expect a call tomorrow, probably after mentioning that this almost caused two accidents and will not be stuck with a unsafe truck.

Sorry to break it to you, but Ford doesn't give two tihs's about you or your unsafe truck. When I went to arbitration for my lemon case on my 2011 the Ford rep/engineer and lawyer lied their asses off and denied anything was wrong with the vehicle claiming no safety concerns were present with the "fall on it's face" issue. That was until we went on a test drive and the truck fell on it's face for the arbitrator. That sealed the deal.

Just sayin. Don't think for a second Ford cares. They don't. They care about their bottom line P&L. Caring about you, me or anyone else affects that.

Yep, dealers/manufacturers are your best friend right up to the point where you drive the rig off the lot.

Ha ha thats awesome it actually fell on its face for the arbitrator. What did you end up getting after? I know they dont care but atleast try to press them as much as I can which isn't much, maybe i'll here some new news, maybe not. Any tips for lemoning, never done it?

Well I've solved my problems! I'm buying a new Dodge 1500 Friday and offing my repair shop queen. It's in the shop now and been there for over a week. 37 days at the dealer since Jan and counting. Tranny leak, steering rack replace, miss/shudder, front end out of whack wearing tires ..I'm done!
Been a Ford guy all my life but this one is the last one I'll ever own.
