I was pulled over for speeding while working in PA by the state police or whatever they call themselves two years ago. The officer seen my TN carry permit and asked where the gun was located. I told him in the console and he said to keep my hands away from the console and never mentioned it again.

lol, the vast majority of legal gun owners are not the "gun problem" in the US. The vast majority of us would never want to use a gun on another person unless our life was in danger. That being said, if you've never had that freedom, you would not understand it. Nothing wrong with not understanding, or even disagreeing. Looking down on the US because of some odd sense of superiority is a problem. Canada has some amazing people, and beautiful country. But, there is a reason you work for an American company, and there is a reason why millions move here each year. Sure, we have our problems... but I'll take that any day to keep my freedoms and to be able to provide for my family. It really is the greatest country in the world... because of those freedoms.

I mean I've spent 2years in combat, and I have never had a need to fire on full auto, mainly because its not accurate fire, and it's a waste of ammo
Man, you've been on the Joe Biden train. Very few Americans have access to, much less OWN fully automatic weapons. That being said, the term "gun control" should only be used to refer to a proper grip and tight groupings. There IS a reason we left the tyranny of England, after all. I'd say we've done just fine for ourselves, with the help of the Lord. Canada has benefitted from the prosperity of the US for sure. 2nd Amendment was put in place as a safeguard against a government that would seek to take away the freedoms we hold so dear.

No one in Great Britain complained when our guns were flowing into Europe to stop the Germans and Japanese from their world conquest. In that vain, weapons are important because criminals and tyrants do not obey laws, nor do they respond to reasonable discussion. Sometimes the only way to stop them is the business end of a cruise missile, bullet, etc. If we forget that, then the history of the past 100 years will sadly get replayed at some point. Evil is always out there somewhere.

Well I do have my answers, not saying they are right, just mine. Many countries do regulate weapons, the USA does a lot of regulating, You cannot own a fully automatic firearm with out a application and lengthy background check and a $200 tax stamp by serial number It usually takes eight to ten months to get approval, this was a provision by the 1934 National Firearms Act. It banned grenades, Howitzers, and other cannon and high explosive ammunition and required the registration of automatic weapons. I don't know of a single individual who owns a full automatic weapon and I know a lot of shooters.

Magazines carry ammunition, how accurate are you going to be under stress and how many targets are you going to need to address. Then you need that many rounds plus one, There are home invasions in Florida and Georgia, maybe other places, with four to eight individuals I personally don't want to change magazines mid-stream. I am trained and Combat experienced myself, I know how and I know what it is like to hit empty when you still feel the urgent need to keep shooting. You are welcome to use a slingshot or a pocket knife if you want, I like bullets

Transporting weapons? Not certain what your concern is here. I cannot just shoot my weapon in my house where I live, the neighbors frown at that. I go to a range Maybe I go out of state to training course with the rifle or handgun or both I have to take it with me, it won't magically appear. And do not try to spend my money for me by telling me to ship it somewhere, I don't tell you how to spend yours.

Finally this last is not a civilian question, but in the Army I was trained on M-14's and because I did well I was one of two percent to go thru the Automatic Rifleman's course using M-14E2's (Later designated M-14A1's these were fully automatic, had bipods, muzzle brakes, forend grip and pistol grip, very heavy butt.. They had no mechanical stop to limit you to three rounds, that was done by trigger control only. These were well aimed bursts, not much 'spray and pray' that you hit something, You were just accounting for zigs and zags. Later with M-16's training on automatic fire diminished and it was like you remember.

I never had more than a revolver for years, but I was away a lot and my wife was very nervous, We bought semi-automatic handguns, got training (I was never 'trained' on handguns in the Army) So a new experience for me too, Then we got AR-15's and trained with them We trained with shotguns too, but we never warmed up to them, They are versatile, but you do have to aim and the AR-15 has a light kick, unlike the shotgun

It's simple... the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Everyone has the right to protect themselves, their family, or possibly one of you liberal Biden gun haters if the need arises. Also, its there to protect the citizens from a tyrannical government. Their are hundreds if not thousands of stories of law abiding citizens using their firearms to stop a bad person from causing harm to them or others. Unfortunately our media, national or local (in bed with the liberals) never report it because it doesn't "fit the narrative". The 2nd amendment is what makes the USA uniquely greater than any other country on the whole planet.

I do. Vaultek Lifepod under the seat, locked to the seat frame. Not exactly Fort Knox but unless they have a cable/bolt cutter with they aren't getting it. They probably aren't even going to look there.

While I definitely do not like leaving firearms in a vehicle, in a strong box or anything that requires a little more effort by a thief, its definitely better than nothing if you absolutely have too. Most crimes involving guns are usually with stolen guns that are then sold off to the next criminal so on and so forth. Rarely are they acquired legally.

I just realized recently that the center console has a lock. I wonder how hard it is to break open. Would be nice if there was a hinge and latch kit of some sort to strengthen it. So many lock boxes take up too much space and are too hard to access, a stronger console with a holster inside would work great.
