I was coming to suggest the Alien Gear holster mount, that is what I use. I keep the empty OWB holster in the mount, so when I get in the truck my Springfield XDs goes from the IWB to the OWB holster, but I usually only make the switch for long drives. Otherwise I just wear it. I also keep my Glock OWB holster in the center console so I can easily switch them out depending on what I am carrying.

Edited to add that my mount is affixed to the side of the center console, next to my right leg. I can get a photo if needed!

Carry my rig in a Tier 1 Concealed Axis Slim. Very comfortable and accessible while driving. Before I got into appendix carry, I had a holster mounted on the kick panel under the steering column and would unholster when I got in the truck and reholster before getting out. Very tedious and not practical. In the console is even worse.

On my hip. Never ever ever ever leave firearms in your vehicle unattended. Smash'nGrabbers love free firearms and trucks are usually good targets for that.

In the door map pocket, or sometimes even right in the console in the tray next to the cup holders (mine is column shift).

I always take it out with me however.

Sometimes you either have to leave it in your truck or not bring it with you at all. I almost always choose the former. The reason I carry the gun is far more important than getting it stolen.

I've actually been looking at lock box storage for this reason. Although, if they want it bad enough they'll get it out one way or another. But may slow them down enough to get caught or catch a haymaker to the back of the head haha.

Indeed.

And please people don't leave your vehicle unlocked when parking overnight, with a gun, or laptop, or cash, or wallet, or purse, inside. The amount of money, ID's, credit cards, electronics, and yes guns, people get completely free by simply pulling on door handles is unbelievable

At least use a safe that's out of sight and attached to the vehicle in a way that a person would have to use a tool to defeat it, after having to break into the truck because it was locked.

I wish we could be allowed to have a firearm concealed in our vehicle. In my state. We can only carry a loaded firearm concealed on our person, with a valid carry permit. Not hidden in the car.

In vehicle is fine with permit

https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs...tn=6&subsctn=0

"misdemeanor of the first degree.

(b) Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) shall not apply to:...

...(11) Any person while carrying a firearm in any vehicle, which person possesses a valid and lawfully issued license for that firearm which has been issued under the laws of the United States or any other state."

And as a bonus, also an exception:

"
(13) Any person who is otherwise eligible to possess a firearm under this chapter and who is operating a motor vehicle which is registered in the person's name or the name of a spouse or parent and which contains a firearm for which a valid license has been issued pursuant to section 6109 to the spouse or parent owning the firearm."

I usually put the gun in my truck as I leave for work in the morning and it come back in at night. If someone steals from me at work its a federal offense and armed guards are within 50 yards of where I am parked with my truck visible. I cannot take a gun inside the gate and I don't go anywhere other than work for the most part. I also park in the garage at home. In Tennessee you can legally conceal a gun in your vehicle if you can legally own one. I don't like laying the gun in the console tray because I set other stuff in that tray and its possible it could fall out of the tray. The other compartments are not readily accessible while driving or if there is a need to react quickly and I want it concealed and not visible.

I had any older Alien Gear cloak dock mount https://aliengearholsters.com/cloak-...ter-mount.html in my older truck but didn't want to put screws in the center console of this truck and was really hoping for a foam insert of some kind that the gun will slide into like a holster. I will look at the options above and see if I can find what I want. The hook and ladder mount might be the ticket
