It's an m&p 9mm full size so a little hard to fit in the sunglasses area, but good idea with a compact. And for those wondering why I'm wanting to keep it in my truck, it's mainly for personal protection, just in case the scenario did arise. luckily in Texas your truck is considered your property so it's not illegal to carry it even without a permit. I'm also constantly in the country, and hogs are a major problem here, so if I'm in my truck and see one, that hogs good as dead.

Well we are in luck! A little more digging and I discovered the holster in that pic is a kit that can be purchased here: http://www.gumcreekcustoms.com/cart.html

That looks fantastic. I've seen the pic before, but can't remember where. Being a lefty, I always thought under the steering column, or just in front of the driver's seat would be perfect. It's nice for the long road trips to disarm.

Edit: I even have a Toyota 4Runner to mount it in, just like in the photo. Except, that could be a Tacoma. Hard to tell, but my money is on a Tacoma.

I would rather be tried by 12 peers then carried by six friends.

Mine rides on me when I am in the truck. I have a concealed weapon permit. Behind the seat is where the shotgun rides in a rifle case.

Holy ****, your not in a war zone my man, to me that sounds like fear. No disrespect but, with that mind set there is no wonder why there is so much gun violence there. A news story comes to mind from not to long ago, of a father unloading a mag into his own son, because he was scared.
I feel fine leaving my house and not locking the door, I don't need a gun if someone breaks into my house.

As mentioned before, it's a "Merican" thing. You do not need to understand it. It is part of our culture and it will remain part of our culture. Most foreign people will never understand the "Merican" firearm thing. THAT is what makes us American. Our founding fathers left Europe because of European tyranny and set up this country to be independent, with liberty and individualism. Our second amendment was not to guard us from foreign invading forces, it was clearly written as a check to tyranny within OUR OWN government. Very clear.
