Our founding fathers left Europe because of European tyranny and set up this country to be independent, with liberty and individualism. Our second amendment was not to guard us from foreign invading forces, it was clearly written as a check to tyranny within OUR OWN government. Very clear.
Its American, Im not sure where this "Merican" crap is from but it needs to go away. Im an American, not a 'Merican. As for the Canadians not getting it well, thats why youre Canadian's and were Americans. If you wish to begin to understand just open a history book. We didnt become independent from the king by throwing our hands in the air and submitting, we dont work that way and we never will.

I already have that holster and have this image in my head for our trucks. This is a great location for access while driving. My concern in TX is that the handgun needs to be concealed while in the vehicle and that really isn't which is why I think a holster next to the seat will work better. Either location will only be for holding while I'm driving, as soon as I get out it will be back on my hip or locked away if I'm going in somewhere that doesn't allow me to carry (the post office).

I'm sorry but sometimes guns are the answer. If someone breaks into my house in the middle of the night I'm not going to see who it is and ask them to leave. I'm going to have my gun because they might have one. I'm not taking a bat/knife/golf club to a gun fight. Especially in my own house. Criminals don't care about laws or respecting other people's rights so why should we care about them if they're on our property to rob or harm us?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying strip everybody of their weapons, but something needs to be done to regulate weapons. For example mags, transporting of weapons. And maybe I'm a little confused so feel free to sort me out, why the hell do you need fully automatic long guns?
I mean I've spent 2years in combat, and I have never had a need to fire on full auto, mainly because its not accurate fire, and it's a waste of ammo

Explain your thought process behind this statement. If someone, uninvited by you, enters your home, with intentions to harm you, your loved ones or your property and you are there, you would proceed how?

Fight or flight is the natural instinct. Flight, I shall not.
