Still a hot topic.
I've considered those gun magnets for to hold a Sig maybe, but since 1978 I've carried on my person primary and anything in the vehicle was secondary. My '78, had a bench seat, the seat cover was also a shot gun pouch across front behind passenger's calves, I kept a Charter Arms Bulldog tucked in the end which would be just below my left knee. I've found a few rods tucked into the crack between the seat seat and seat back, usually .25 autos, and I've seen others react when they felt the presence of steel near a left ear as they dropped open a glove compartment and a weapon fell out onto the now door of the glove box, guy in a Trans Am reached he said for console lid when hi hand got too close to a wooden grip of his 45 auto, he froze too. Was a nice piece, laser sight, etc, .... a match grade 1911 ... it got destroyed ... he had a record issue. One guy opened a glove box in a VW Beetle, Ruger super Blackhawk .44 with scope fell out, amazed it even fit ... it was pointed away, he'd have had to get into the back seat to swing it my way ... LOL.. Little elderly lady once was digging out stuff in her car looking for registration, suddenly there was a Colt Detective Special in holster in the floor, her grandson had left it in the GB.
Scariest event was the night a off duty PO from another state came through radar out on 64 running 97 in a Suburban, had wife, two ten age girls were in back. Was a ballcap on the center hump, but I could see a grip. I asked him what he was carrying, his wife on the passenger side grabbed the weapon up to show it and suddenly he was shouting "NO" as the wife was showing me the weapon and he saw mine was cleared too. Two girls in back seat were in tears, his wife screamed and dropped the weapon. In hindsight, I know she meant no harm, but for a few nanoseconds, the outcome wasn't so sure from my perspective. They were headed home from vacation out west as I recall. Got my heart rate up. Yeah, we talked.
I guess I'll stick with my habits, that way it's not in the truck if I'm in Harbor Freight and I suddenly find I need it. As it is, I can find a hidden place to put it if I need to leave it ... like going into the courthouse for jury duty next Monday.

Last I checked there are no rules to say what post you can reply to.
And who do you 2 think you are to ridicule a member for posting on this forum ?
All you did is make yourselves look ignorant and put a shadow on our great forum.

I saw a post that got quoted, and I wanted to respond to it.
So I hit the little arrow within the quote to take me to the post, and I quoted it, and I responded to it myself.
Then I realized I got pulled into quoting and responding to a post from 2012, and I don't feel like having a 9 year long argument, so I deleted myself quoting the 2012 post. Figured the guy probably won't read my response 9 years later anyway
However, since I cannot delete my post entirely, I merely edited it to say disregard.
You're just making yourself look ignorant up there on your holier than thou high horse as you incorrectly interpret the situation.

I carry my gun on my person, and I avoid places that don't allow me to carry it.
I don't feel the need for a holster or mount in the truck.
There.....
Thread is back on topic, Lets keep it that way.

I didn't realize you thought guns were the problem and us Americans are slow to learn that banning them is better.
That is what I was arguing against before deleting it because I realized it was posted in 2012.
Keep your gun bans to your own country, Commie, this is America

I started a post asking about holster mounts for their trucks and my thread was moved to the end of the old thread. I did a search and this thread didn't pop up for me so I started a new thread
