I got the following Software Update yesterday. 10.1.1 Enhanced Connectivity and Power Management

Your vehicle now displays improved connectivity and power management, helping to reduce battery drain and ensuring reliable remote access from your mobile app. This update enhances your overall driving experience by keeping your vehicle's systems running smoothly.

Software updates are designed to help make your vehicle better over time.

I don't seem to get as many as most folks do, so I'm surprised when they do.

What am I to make of this update?

Just got a "Compass" update last night. Do not know what it does but it says it was installed successfully.

That's a TCU update; not sure what it is does, but it is one of the more recent updates so if you got that one, it means you are close to being up to date when it comes to the more important Sync updates.

It's not a daily driver but I do make 30-70 mile trips on local highways every few weeks. There a little stop-and-go but plenty of sustained driving.

In between drives, it's on a Battery Tender. It turns solid red when I connect it and later turns solid green, so I'm confident that it's fully charged.

Should I not expect to have received more updates since November?
I changed the update time yesterday to 6 PM. During a ~50 mile drive today I checked for software updates. It said I'd get one at 6 PM. At 12:45 I changed that to 1 PM and shut off the truck. Later in the day I checked for updates. It still says ECG-24.2.4.10.1. There was no error message about failure.

I suspect the update choked for some reason. I didn't connect to the Battery Tender after my trip today but I assumed it would be fully charged after a 50 mile highway trip.

Default Unable to Update Software

I recently purchased a 2022 F150 platinum and have done everything posted on the forums to trigger a software update with no success. The sync is way out of date. I called ford and they said I need to bring the truck into the dealer for them to do a manual push update. Is there any work arounds for this to avoid a dealer visit? My vin is: 1FTFW1E81NFA61178.

Dealers here in Alaska refuse to do updates, it's a long process, they don't get paid by Ford to do it, and the employees are dumber than a bunch of rocks. Best bet is to rent a mongoose cable and get a 3 day pass in FRDS. The F150Gen14.com Forum has a lot of info and there are people there to help. There are over 100 pages on this topic and there are a cpl guys there that are wizards.

Yea, your truck has Sync software from 2021 on it. 2021 vehicles in general are low on the list of priority when it comes to the OTA process at this point. The updates you need are rarely ever sent out. I would also recommend you look into FDRS to update it yourself. If you bought a Ford ESP warranty, you can try the using the attached TSB, but the dealer will most likely not help you. You need hours and hours worth of manual updates to be up to date.

Regarding other recommendations to use FDRS, it's not difficult. It's only time consuming, much of which is it running on your laptop in the truck while you're inside your house.

my truck was at the dealer for a rough idle, they of course didn't find anything, but the notes say they did a PCM update. Is there any way to see what that was?

No software update but my Fordpass app got a new message informing me of the impending end of trial for BlueCruise and other connectivity software and offering to extend the services. I can extend BlueCruise for ONLY $49.99/month. Still on BlueCruise 1.0 that drops out at most exit and on ramps and doesn't function at all when driving in the direction of the sun two hours after sunrise or two hours before sunset (for those of us in the northern latitudes the sun hangs closer to the horizon late fall, all winter, and early spring and blinds the camera) .
