http://www.ford.com/support/software...-notes-history

Yesterday I got a screen message from Ford saying that I could go to the above site "To view your past software updates" in order to "Experience a more efficient update process, ensuring updates are managed seamlessly,"

I did go there. The site required logging in, so I think that meant that what it said is specific to my truck. There was some (limited but useful) information there about my last two software updates.

Interesting. Looks like the desktop version of Ford Pass. Got this screen message when I logged in:

It’s been more than 90 days since your vehicle was updated.

The Software Update History & Release Notes currently only provides a report for the last 90 days of enhancements to your vehicle, so make sure to check back to see how your vehicle is improving over time.
How to turn on automatic updates
How to set a schedule

I have auto updates on but haven't gotten any updates since late February. I know there is some order of button pushes / key strokes to force updates but don't recall what that is. Can anyone post what that sequence is? My truck sat for 2 months unused in a weak celll signal area and I forgot to connect it to the home wifi, so might be why I'm not getting any updates.

I got the same and the human in the chat box was not informative as to what SYNC and map versions are current.

The OTA team is available tomorrow.

Edit: I learned that SYNC 4 should be 4.0.24 something. I'm on 4.0.23291. The truck has made multiple attempts to update but failed repeatedly.

If your truck is trying to download updates, but fails, maybe you can try to reset Gateway module using Forscan. It helped me. (and maybe you can reset few other modules - kind of forced reboot for a computer that is glitching)

I've heard of alot of trucks failing to update. Most of them have had success putting a battery charger on the truck and then doing the update. If your main and AUX battery are getting alittle old they won't have the capacity to complete the update.
Worth a try.

Oh and make sure you clamp the negative cable onto a body ground and NOT on to the battery terminal.

I'm taking my truck to the dealer for the axle recall. I know they don't do software updates but maybe they'll reset some modules as you describe.

There is no way to force an OTA trigger for a vehicle.

I had the BC 1.4 available on my 2023 F150, and tried to install it several times and it always said interrupted. I charged the batter, still no luck. After several attempts, the option to install the update disappeared and says "not completed". I can still see the details of the update, but no option to do anything. Any ideas?

I got you, but please edit your VIN out of the post. The OTA did fail a few times due to low battery SoC, but it was canceled by the server after a few attempts. No reason as to why was provided. Nothing you can do at this point but wait for it to be resent.
