PPL who have the 1.7.1 fail can't turn on the auto updates or notifications and the version # in sync 4 is blank.

Question for the experts, is there a reason to set up a schedule. I do not have a schedule, but have auto updates on and I am getting the updates (at 2.3 now). Not sure if I am getting them in a reasonable time though. Not sure when to set the schedule if I need to, during the day I never know if I am going to be using vehicle going between buildings I have systems in....

Yes, I’ve been the same. I am also up to 2.3.0, but nothing now for 2 months. I’m going to give it another few weeks and if nothing has updated, take it in for the recalls and see if they can apply all of the updates.

For some updates, the vehicle can not be driven while the update is being applied. The purpose of the schedule is to let the vehicle know when you won't be driving it so it can apply those updates. If you don't set a schedule, those types of updates will only be applied when you use the "Update Now" button to start them, and you won't be able to drive the vehicle while it's applying them. You'll get notified on the screen (icon upper right) when one of these is waiting to be applied (same icon that informs you one will be applied the next time your "scheduled" day/time comes up IF you have one set). At least that's what I gather from all my reading on the subject.

Got a call late yesterday. They claimed ALL SW updates have been performed, but BlueCruise isn't showing up AND the lane centering still isn’t working (the reason they were doing all this).

Can you do another printout from FDRS *now* so i can see if they still need to apply any updates? Thanks!

hey @Livnitup would you check my VIN once more? i called to make an appointment this week, gave em my VIN, and then my update button magically came back today. curious if something OTA did go through, or if it's just buggin and will go back to greyed out again. it's been grey for months. even gave me the version number today. :fingerscrossed: 1FTFW1ED8MFB55506

thank you!!

nevermind. looks like im on an old version. 20312_product, revision: 243. booo. still enlightening to not see the update button greyed out, even if temporarily.

dealer said they'd need to keep it a few days in order to figure out, even thought i told them by issue and gave them the tsb number.

***edit*** aaaaaandddd it's back to grey.

Yeah I was following along as they were working on it and it looked like they never got around to the APIM update and the last thing I saw the other day was them doing a TSB on it but I didn't grab a history picture of it and when I try and look at the history now, FDRS is giving me an error looking at it so not sure if they're doing maintenance on FDRS now but I'll check again later. Note: they already did the GSM update shown below but for some reason that update doesn't drop off the list after it's done. It's also not showing me any OTA history on OASIS right now either.

@Livnitup I plan to take my truck in for recalls and updates now that BlueCruise is said to be available for Job 1 trucks. I'm one of the hung up on 1.7.1 updates and wanted to get as much info as possible before taking the truck in. Would you be so kind as to check VIN 1FTFW1E85MFA20342 ?

I certainly appreciate your help on this forum and would be happy to donate to your charity.
