Three days ago, I started seeing a message on my sync screen after turning the truck off that it was shutting down to save battery. I drove 90 minutes, and all worked fine. Then the following day did it on the first drive but not when driving home. Then today, did the same thing and won't light up the truck at night when I walk and even when I opened the door. Drove for over an hour and it was fine. Never seen messages like this before and no change in driving habits.
I know I had updates waiting, am I getting a failure message for low SOC?

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
I received a FordPass notification that my truck was updated with 6.1.0 earlier this week. Looks like it's a BlueCruise map update? I don't have BlueCruise, so no changes to my truck.

No OTA in your queue at this time. Try to reset the BMS. You may need a new battery.
I had an 87MB download to the truck yesterday, but I am seeing no indication when I turn the truck on that anything was updated. My last 2 updates were 4.2.4 and the Digital Manual. Thought it might be the updated maps or maybe one of these other 4.3.x or 6.x OTAs, but nothing so far. Anyone know how large some of these updates are?

OTA's can be small like that. Below is an example of OTA 3.5.4. PTS shows the files that changed and the file size. This one was about 101MB in total. There can be smaller ones, too.

Got it. Thanks for the confirmation. I am just waiting patiently to see if anything comes. Sounds like there really hasn't been much that have changed anyway as far as the "User Experience".... My BC 1.0 is generally working but for the wandering, and I have no plan to pay $800/year for it or BC 1.3 if/when it might come.
how do you know what updates need a flash drive before you go throw the steps. I spent a good hour loading the apim update but did not have s flash drive to load it so I had to stop the process...
