Better than nothing, but that is more of a battery tender than a charger. You need a charger.

Not sure what happened yesterday. A glitch in the matrix?
@rugedraw if I should be posted somewhere else, let me know, but the alarm keeps going off today when we park it and lock the truck. Could this be a battery voltage issue due to the update?

I do have a 8A charger standard/AGM. Do I just hook her up to the battery and let her do its thing?

Yes. You may need to charge it for a few consecutive nights before the SOC gets up high enough for the update to go through.

Pray that the OTA gods shine upon thee.
Nothing better than a nice 20 plus mile EW commute to keep the truck battery charged up and get the updates in.

Its not just Ford having these battery induced software update issues.

Well I put an 8 amp charger on the truck last night and 4.3.4 failed again. Put the charger on at 6pm, checked it before going to bed at 12am and it was in a charge state. Update scheduled for 2am. Checked the charger at 8am this morning and it shut off. (abort mode). Charger manual says to have battery checked. I have an appointment with my dealer on Tuesday to get my 3/4 float rear axles and hubs replaced and to also check the battery. Will let you know how it goes. Did notice a little bulge on top of the battery prior to putting the charger on. It looked like one of the stickers on top of the battery was coming up. when I pushed it down it was like a nickel sized cap under the sticker reseated.

I have SYNC4 v 23031 on my 2022.

Default Here we go again

For the first week of August I kept getting a software update failed for 4.3.4. Ford had me reset my ford connect. They said that the update was released and then pulled back. After the reset, sure enough, the update stopped appearing.

this morning it’s back. Every time I shut my truck off now I get an alert about 10 minutes later from the app saying the update was unsuccessful.
my VIN is 1FTFW1E84MKD67328

I can certainly say I am mega frustrated with this stupid update.

I have no idea why that's happening. PTS is not showing any error codes relevant to that. It is not showing low battery voltage either, Very strange.

A master reset will kill any OTA you have in your queue. Those people in Ford's OTA hotline don't know a damn thing. It is failing due to low battery voltage. Your battery SOC is at 70%. It was failing for the same reason the first time around.
