I actually yelled and screamed at him last time I was there and he reassured me it would be taken care of. Ha ha. This time he wouldn’t come out of his office. He’s a donkey. I left without getting my blood pressure too high.

You truck is very behind on updates. 2.7.3 was sent to you mid-March and it failed to install the same day. Many people including myself had a very hard time with that update. It was that update that caused me to buy a Mongoose tool and update the truck myself 7-8 months ago. You can continue to wait for Ford to push the OTA again and hope it installs, but knowing what I know now, if you want your Bluecruise and all the other stuff you paid for when you bought your truck, I would do it myself.

I've been parking outside, connected to wifi as much as possible lately.

Thanks!
Nothing since 3.5.3 failed in February. Please note that not a single OTA released so far requires wi-fi to download. You can have the best internet connection in the world, but Ford needs to actually send you the update before your truck can download it. Having it on wi-fi will not make Ford send you an update sooner. Nothing will, as Ford's OTA process is not systematic in any way.

Same truck here. I've had 4.2.1.2 for awhile. What does the "What's New in this Update?" message say about 4.2.2.1?

Hey All -

New to this forum so my apologies if I'm doing this wrong. My truck has been on 2.7.4 since October 2022. I took it to the dealership after seeing so many people with the new update (specifically full-screen Carplay), and they told me they won't force the update as "Ford doesn't like when we do that." Anyone else experiencing this? Any way to get this updated? I have a 2021 Ford F-150 XLT.

No, what Ford doesn't do is pay them to update modules. The update your truck is stuck on took me about 6 hours to do myself, so they will not do it if they aren't getting paid for it. Unfortunately, you are several updates away from full screen capability. The only way to update it yourself is with a Mongoose OBDII tool and a license to Ford's FDRS software which is the same software dealers and Ford techs use.

Appreciate the response. So is the general consensus here that unless I do it myself, it will never get updated? Or is there hope that this could get worked out on its own?

Yesterday my wireless android auto was not working. I plugged in the USB cable and AA came right up along with full screen. Unplugged and AA dropped. It had been working fine for a couple months. The phone was at 35 percent on charge, could that have been playing into the issue?

I would not say never, but it is possible that by the time you are fully updated with Ford's garbage OTA process, you may be ready to trade in the truck for a new one. The IPC update you are on is difficult to get to go through even with FDRS. Most people that have performed that update recently have been reporting that the USB method that FDRS gives you fails, which forces you to install directly on the IPC module which takes 6 hours to do, and this is just one of many updates pending on your truck.

Very unlikely that was caused by your phone being at 35% battery. It happens to me with AA every now and then where AA will just disconnect for no reason. Usually, restarting the truck fixes the issue.

I restarted the truck a couple/three times and restarted the phone twice. I will check again today.
