@rugedraw Could you please check my VIN? I have a Job1 2021 with a history of not receiving updates. I’ve never actually received any OTA updates. Everything has been done at the dealership. The most recent I had done was roughly a year ago, and I have no indication that further updates have been received. TIA!

VIN 1FTFW1ED0MFB41289

EDIT: my Sync software version still shows 21223_PRODUCT

Job 1 trucks made the first half of the year do not allow for the cameras to be turned on while in motion. That is why people like me with a job 1 truck want these OTAs to come through.

Hey all, I just got my 2021 this week and am having a lot of trouble figuring out why my Pro Trailer setup is requiring the yaw sensor and won't allow me to do a sticker based setup. According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_P...ersion_history, this was added in version 2.5.1/2.8.1but I can't even tell what Power-Up version I'm running. System "About" shows SYNC 4, 22177_PRODUCT Revision 473.

According to the VIN plate it was mfg'd 2/21, so that should make it a Job 1 vehicle, right?

I see some folks asking a helpful friend on here to check if their truck has pending updates, could I ask the same? Much appreciated if so. VIN is 1FTFW1E80MFA53605

Also, I have the same thing as many folks where the Ford website shows that my system requires an update, but won't tell me what or why, and ofc I can't do anything about it via USB without special equipment. In my 2016 Mustang on Sync 3 I was able to just grab a file and put it on a thumb drive.

Edit: I was able to dig up in the FordPass app that it wants to install version 2.7.3 still, so it's like... waaaaaay out of date. But checking for updates keeps saying "your system is up to date"

Anything to be done?

You have 2 FSAs (wiper motor and tailgate opening). No updates in the last 60 days and none pending.

They tried to update the APIM on May 25th but were unsuccessful. They also tried on April 19 and were unsuccessful.

You were sent 2.7.3 back in December but the update was never activated and has since timed out; nothing since then. Your Sync system did receive some minor updates on Jan 1 of this year. You still have the open recall for BC module programming but the hold alert still seems to be active which means your dealer shouldn't attempt it at this time.

Thanks! Anything I can do to make this start updating again? I really need to get more current to be able to use the pro trailer assist.

Two options - sacrifice a lamb to the Ford OTA demogorgon or get the expensive connector and an FDRS license and perform the updates yourself.

Gah, that's so crummy. I wonder if the dealer would do anything to help me out if I slipped someone fifty bucks.

Weird thing is I did a master reset when I got the truck, linked it to FordPass, and it immediately knows when my update install schedule changes - and all the connected functionality works - so it's definitely communicating back with the OTA systems, it just... doesn't do anything with that ability. Sads.

Thank you!

Why would it show nothing pending considering I’m so far behind on updates? Because it failed multiple times? Dealership said they showed no updates, but I’m working with a new dealership and I’m not sure they understand what I’m telling them.
