What do you think of this version. Seems old.
ESN matches so no PMI needed. Your dealer did it right and you are now able to receive OTA's if and when they are sent to you. Now it is just a matter of waiting.

Well the update gods have finally shined their light upon me. Went out to the truck a couple of hours ago and 3.5.3 is now active with Alexa set up screen apparently ready although I thought that was later . Nice to have full screen AA working. Thanks for all the encouragement and fantastic info Ruge! I’ve waited since Oct 13th for this to complete.

The only things I did was to replace the OEM H7 battery with an Autozone platinum H7, Reset the BMS and keep it on a charger. No locked doors or parking break set , magic dust or virgin sacrifice - yeah…good luck with that in this town! LOL

My job one 2021 got 4.2.1 today, so the OTA gods must like it. High 2.x.x in September, and the 3..x.x in Jan/Feb, and now the 4.x.x stuff.

Finally received 3.5.3 this morning. 3.5.2 installed on Oct 7, so about 6.5 months of waiting. 2021 Job 1 XLT.

There are a TON of posts on this thread and no sticky up high. Can somebody post a Cliff Notes (cheat sheet) guide to how all of this is supposed to work? Picking up my truck this week. Rolled off the assembly line mid - March.

I started this thread a few months after purchasing my Job 1 2021 XLT after noticing I had not received any OTA updates, and there were several features advertised for the F150 that were dependent on updates. I did not expect that this would become one of the largest threads on the forum! Ford has had "0" transparency in how the over the air updates are handled. This has led to a lot of confusion over how to get our trucks updated to the latest version of firmware, and it seams their QA process of some of the updates is lacking. Ford did finely come out with some recalls where the dealers addressed some issues, that finely allowed my truck upgraded to firmware about 8 moths old via OTA updates. Now I seemed to be stuck again trying to get 3..5.3 that has been out since late last year.

I an happy with my truck, and maybe all this emphasis on firmware driven features is over blown, but you want to get what you paid for...

I think a nice drive in an area where the truck has cell service has helped mine.
