I bought mine used. I thought I had it all ready for updates. It was signed into my home wifi, and it definitely was receiving connected services, but it wasn't updating.
I took some time to do a deep dive in the menu system and found the previous owner had unselected all privacy check-offs and no update time of day preference was selected. SO I SELECTED EVERYTHING. It clicked ON every frikken privacy sharing item and set the time of update preference to 11pm, 7 days a week.
It got an update the next night 😀

Well, that did not work. Battery is on a charger, I'll try again tomorrow. If it fails again, not sure if I should pull the USB stick, or leave it in there. Truck is not a DD, so maybe I'll drive it to work and see what happens.

You can go weeks without anything. I think it was months before the first one happened. Had at least two, now waiting for the update that brings full size CarPlay maps.

just curious - Mr Ford Motor Company, how do you decide who to ask for a VIN so you can “look into it from (your) side? This is an incredibly long thread, and yet somehow you picked this post to which to respond.
And what does it mean when you say you’ll “look into it from (your) side”?
Does anything ever come of these interactions? I know in my own case nothing ever did come of it.

It has failed numerous times due to low battery voltage. This update requires the truck be hooked up to a battery charger while it is inhibited and installing the update Even with the battery charger, it is known to fail. If you are not performing the update with a 10amp charger connected to it, then try that.

I don't think there is a way to check for Sync updates. You have a 2022 which was built with most of the updates on it already, and I see you got 3.5.2 sent to you in November. 3.5.2 is the latest update currently being pushed out by Ford, so you should be ok.

Rumor has it their either Bot's or recent college grad's with media degrees.

No OTA history in the past 60 days, but yours is a 2022, so your truck was built with most updates on it already.
