Watching this thread I am wondering if Ford has stopped sending out updates since around the beginning of November. I am waiting for a second chance to get 2.8.1 for almost 2 months. Monitoring this thread it seems like through the end of October to present I have not seen anyone getting updates. I hope I am wrong, but I am beginning to wonder....

I am curious to invest in the tools, do you have a good tutorial thread or a video worth watching that’ll give me a better idea on what I’m doing?

thanks again!
Firstly, thank you for your service. No way to get the update resent to you......you can only wait.

Yes, read the first post on the thread below:

Should you decide to do it, I recommend opening an account there and posting any questions you may have on that thread. There are lots of knowledgeable people on there that are willing to help. When it comes to FDRS, I am no expert by any means, but I updated my truck with the help of people on there.

You cannot update it yourself unless you invest in the tool and software license needed to do so. Refer to the post above if you want more info on how to do it. I can only see 60 days back, and you have not gotten an OTA in 60 days or more. However, the Sync version your truck is on is not indicative with your truck being stuck not getting updates.

The only update they stopped sending out is 3.5.3 and 3.5.4 and no one is sure why. The older updates like the one you are asking about get sent out randomly to trucks that have not gotten them yet. When my truck failed 2.7.1, it took over two months for it to get resent to me. Once it failed again, I said the hell with this and bought the tool to update it myself.

I have been wondering about the delay as well. I got 3.5.2 back On October 8th but nothing since then. Sounds like I am not the only one. I was looking forward to seeing the full screen CarPlay.

But in the big scheme of things it isn't an issue. I finally got the Blue Cruise SW owed to be from the 07/21 purchase date installed. I figure any other new features are just frosting as they weren't there when I bought the truck.

And as for BC, it has been a huge disappointment as I can't use it if there is any traffic due to its lane wandering and crossing the lane lines (mostly on the right) on a regular basis. Ford says that's just how it works but I call it BS... Maybe one of the new updates will improve BC performance...!!!

Same here @addabob, got my 3.5.2 on Oct 10th. Since then ..crickets. I'm OK as everything I have seems to be working. Patience is a virtue and at that rate, we're all of bunch of Saints.

My Bluecruise was working fairly well but when I got to about 20k it seemed like it got a bit sloppy. It started bouncing back and forth between lines. I recently took the truck in for another issue and mentioned the “wandering”. They recalibrated and it has been much better. It still ping pongs sometimes, especially when trying to straighten out after a long bend in the road, but does fairly well on straight highways.

My 2022 Job 1 King Ranch with about 12,400 miles has been at the dealer since yesterday morning to correct a "Rear Brake Assist Not Available" warning, phantom "Trailer Brake Malfunction" warnings (when no trailer is connected), and some other minor items. I have SecuriAlert Active, but haven't received any notices.

Can anyone tell me if they can see whether the dealer has done anything to my truck yet? My VIN is 1FTFW1CD7NFA02183. They said it was thriwi g all kinds of DTC codes when I dropped it off to include something with the passenger side tow mirror.

Fortunately I have first day enhanced rental or I'd been left hanging at least for the first day due to a change in their loaner/rental policy.

TIA

Thanks - that's what I figured. I see in the widget my truck is currently unlocked. I'll wait a bit and lock it remotely so for sure I'd get a notice if they open the doors tomorrow morning. Cheers!

I've had a couple of updates show up on FDRS even after the full screen CarPlay update. One APIM update (no obvious new features) and two BCM updates (again, nothing obvious).
