Thanks.
I show your last update was power up 3.5.2 back on September 13th, however it does show that you have an update pending and it has sent a notification to your vehicle. Whether that is true or not I can't confirm on my end

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this update concern. Thanks!

Spare us the formalities. If you guys really cared, you would have not let the FSA for BlueCruise programming expire. Strangers on the internet have done more to help F150 owners than Ford has. Stop pretending like you care or do anything to help. I PM'd you my VIN months ago and never heard back. I opened a case with Ford over a month ago and never heard back. I had to spend hundreds of dollars on a tool and $50 for a Ford FDRS license and spend 15 hours of my time updating the truck myself. I had to pay Ford $50 to update my brand new, under warranty $71k truck.

2.8.1 update failed again this morning with the 10 amp battery charger connected. I manually restarted the update after switching the charger to 2 amp. It started the update (watching the screen) but stopped after a few minutes.

I sent FMC a private message with my VIN per their request here.

Little did I know this thread I started one year ago would be one of the most active threads on the Forum, over 3,115 posts and counting!

I know you started the thread, but I don't know how well you've been following it. Make sure the charger is set to AGM and leave it at 10 amps while the update is going through. Also, some people have reported headlights being in the off position and setting the parking brake has helped their situation. If it fails, try again and again until it goes through. 2.8.1 is the one people have had the most issues with. Eventually, the campaign will expire and you will have to wait until it randomly gets sent to you again, so while you have the 2.8.1 campaign active, try to get it to go through as often as you can until it does. Good luck! If you post or send me your VIN, I can check you OTA status. I have been doing to for people on here for months.

My charger has two modes, "Low Maintenance" and "Maintenance Free". I selected "Maintenance Free" as I assume that is what they are referring to as AGM. My first attempt was with it set to 10 amps.

Since the Headlight switch is a "Soft Switch" that always defaults to auto on at powerup, not sure if turning it off would have any affect, but I did turn the headlights off prior to turning off the truck. I will try one more time with the parking brake set and the charger set to 10 amps.

Got the same results on 2.8.1. Parking brake set, charger set to 10 amps with hood closed. Monitoring voltage, it dropped down to about 12.6 as it started the update, but after a few minutes the update stops.

VIN is 1FTFW1E84MFA54210.
