Thats why I’m having a lift shop handle the trimming / crash bar mod.

My question is what will require less trimming.... 20x9 (0 offset) or 20x10 (-18 offset).

The 20x10 (-18 offset) will rub more, it will stick out 1.25" further than the 20x9 (0 offset).

Ok, 20x9 it is. I'll be heading to the shop this morning to put a deposit down so they can order parts. Hopefully I'll be able to have some pics and reviews up by next week.

Um yes they do but only slight at full lock in reverse. Come drive mine if you want to see it for yourself

-edit- I have not had a chance yet to get under it and see exactly what rubs, sitting on the ground with wheel left turned all the way in either direction nothing looks like it rubs, but when you are in driver seat and moving in reverse with wheel locked in either direction you can hear a slight rub. I have to get someone to reverse at full lock for me while I look, probably have chance this weekend. .

275/65r20 = 34.1 x 10.8 R20

305/55r20 = 33.2 x 12 r20

I was tired when posting, was thinking the 305 being an inch shorter and only 1.2 wider would have width rubbing issue more than my 10.8 inch width which i think is where i am getting the rubbing, not the height which pushed the tire close to the rear portion of the fender.

"275/65 R20's don't even come close to rubbing on OEM 20s"

is far from accurate statement. on stock +44 rims they would be rubbing both the fender and the UCA's if not other things. moving to +1's they rub the crap out of mud flaps if you have them and once you remove them they are less than 2 inches from the fender behind the tire.

With that being said yes the -18's would push the tire farther outside the fender

He is talking about a tire that is 1.2 inches wider than my tire and 1.1 inch shorter. I know my 10 inch at +1 is rubbing from width not height. he is going 1.2 wider and +0 on same size rims?

Do you two have the exact same tire (make / model)? If not, it's not an equal comparison. I have searched the dark depths of the internet over the last month and have seen folks with almost identical setups...some report no rubbing, some report minor rubbing, some have extreme rubbing. It will vary from truck to truck.

I spoke to S3M and a local shop (Alpha Customs) and they both seem to think that with my above mentioned setup I will only have minor rubbing while reverse, full lock.

you are pushing 1mm farther out that I on the rim and going 1.2 wider on the tire. They are doing the install for you, the minor rubbing at full lock for me is not a pressing issue and I have been busy but it is so minor that is why it is not a pressing issue. As long as you end up with similar no worries. you also stated they would be doing the install, trimming or whatever is needed. Are they talking minor rubbing after they have completed the install? or before they do the trimming/adjusting?

I went with nitto terra grappler G2 their on road traction sucks. especially if road is wet. They break loose on dry pavement on turns from a stop, and even worse when pavement is wet. on dry pavement i have maybe one tire break loose in that situation, when wet, more than one.

Look at the Roush Trucks.....They have a fox level struts/shocks and use a 20x9 wheel +18 with 305/55r20 tire and have no issues?

yes, I can believe that, I was questioning the +0 and comparing to my +1..... as stated before the -18 will move the wheel farther out, 19mm farther out than my +1... had i gone with that i would have no rubbing issue, but my wheel and tire would be hanging slightly beyond the outer edge of my fender. (not a huge issue)
