Arrgh. I installed my rear 5100s. The Fronts are sitting in my house, in the corner waiting.for me.. I just cannot for the life of me decide between the 1.75 or 2.1 setting. Can someone help convince me. plan down the road will be 20x9 0 offset wheels with 285ish or 33x12.5 rubber. Will mess with crash bars if I have to so no probs there. Any pros/cons with 1.75 vs 2.1? I'm leaning toward 1.75 becusse I don't think a 1/4 inch on the highest setting will be even visually noticeable But I dunno. Just don't want reverse rake. Also should note I have the 5.0 liter in case engine size/weight comes into play at all.

2018 4x4 FX4 lariat here. Im going with the 5100s actually being installed tomorrow. and 2in block in the back. Going to go 1.75 setting as I want as much rake as stock. I use the bed with heavy loads a lot otherwise I would have left The rear as is. Going with wildpeaks 275/60/20

Here’s mine. I have the fronts set at 2.1” running 305/55R20 Falken Wildpeaks AT3 on stocks with no spacer. I have 5100’s in the rear on stock blocks. There is no rubbing at all. I have the FX4 package and my rear sits just a little over a 1/8” higher then the front. I also have the 5.0L in mine.

I would go with the 2.1" setting personally. That's what I did with mine. I still have about 1/2-3/4" rake, and it looks very level. I am now running 34" (295/60/20) Nitto Ridge Grapplers on stock wheels, with zero rub or trim issues. I also have the FX4 package, and the 5.0L motor. I also have the 5100 rear shocks with stock blocks, although thinking about going a bit higher in the rear to get some rake back while towing. You will notice your suspension stiffen up, but I much prefer it over the stock ride.

Thanks guys (the three posts above.) this helps. If I go with the 2.1 setting, and decided I wanted a 'bit' more rake down the road, is there a block I could do to get me to 1/2 or 3/4 - 1 inch of rake? Dont want to end up back with 2"+ rake (like oem) down the road.

Sure. Just measure your stock rear block (I think 4x4's are 1.25") and then get the correspondingly higher one. If you want to add 3/4" of rake, get a 2" rear block. I am thinking about adding 3/4" myself just for towing, plus I don't mind a slightly more raked look.

One thing to keep in mind though, if adding height to the rear blocks that you will lose a little bit of total travel length in the shock if you are using stock rear shocks. If you are going 5100's in the back, they are +1" so that if you add another 1" of height, they still have the stock amount of travel.

good to know on the ride.. i have been a little worried that i might not like the ride after i put the leveling kit on but from past experience I have found that load E tires can effect your ride a lot worse than a leveling kit.. airing them down obviously helps but they are stiff pretty stiff with all the heavy belts..
What 2" spacer or coil did you use and how does it handle big bumps and pot holes?

Gotcha thanks. I have the 5100s in the rear already. Good to know I can go to (and they make) a 2" block and not just oem size blocks then jump to 3" blocks for instance.
