Default 2018 level kit.

I purchased the synthetic (plastic) 2" level kit from RC and installed them today. What I have noticed, whichever way I installed them they do not sit dead center when looking at the top of the strut they are off a little. My shock does not touch any surface and seems to run fine. Doesn't make any noise running over curbs or bumps. It does make a little rattle noise on driver side, but not continuous or loud (maybe it will stop after alignment). May have always done it, but listening to your truck after work brings up things you were not listening for before. I know I installed it right and torqued the main nuts to spec. All the brake lines and others are put back in place as well. Anyone experience the same issues. Especially the top of the shock/strut.

Thanks.

Default Halo Boss Coilover with 35x12.50 Nitto Ridge Gapplers

After reading countless forums regarding leveling kit options and max tires size I finally pulled the trigger and am very pleased with the look and ride of this setup. I'm putting on the Halo rear shocks this afternoon and hope that will help offset the decrease in ride quality from from going from an 8ply to 12ply tire.

What tire size did you go with? Make model of tire?

Default 35 11.5 R20 fits fine. No trimming.

Read a bunch from other members of the f150 forum on this topic. Thanks to all that came before me and posted pics. Hopefully this will help the next guy that’s trying to decide what size tires to get.

My dealer used a Rough Country level lift kit. It has a suspension shock on each side of the back to help level heavy payloads or heavy tounge weights. Its my second build like this and I like them. First one was on a 15 f150 screw 2.7 eco 5.5 box. Had 33/12.50 17’s on it with no problems. Dealer said I Couldn’t quite squeeze the 35 x 12.50’s in this time without some trimming and mods or I would have.

I drove the truck 30 miles completely stock on a 65 mph hilly hwy. I averaged 18.9 on the first run.

I have driven the truck about 10 miles home from the tire shop and got 15.7 into a blistering head wind.

I will add more info as I drive more. Its not as aggressive as my kids want, but its just fine for ole pops!

6.5 bed
Max tow pack
tow mirrors
payload capacity 2250 lbs
factory bed liner
3.5 eco
4x4
20” factory wheels
fx4, 302a and xlt chrome package.
Heated, power, cloth front seats! My bride loves her buns warm.

Hopefully this is the right place to post this question - what did you all do with your stock parts? I am seeing 2017 used UCAs going for $100 - $150 each on eBay. Just installed Icon Stage 3 kit, so not sure if I should keep the stock part to put back on the truck when the time comes to sell it, or just sell the UCAs, stock coils/shocks and rear shocks?
