Man, that is an incredible job you did with the amp rack/install. You have me thinking about pulling my seats again and re-doing everything I have just completed mine (for now, not so impressed with it after seeing yours...) with the Zen via toslink, JL VX800/8i, a RD1000 on the subs, and JL c5's in front and back. What I have found is the max volume 30 is only about 50% output capacity to my speakers. I was reading this is due to the Sync3 or Bus clipping the audio? Did you happen to find a way around this to achieve full audio output? I can't seem to find any solid information on this in the forum or the forscan forum. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Well done man!

Hello, I have been reading a ton of material for a stereo upgrade in my 16 XL. I have the 4DTech 4" to 8" Sync 3 kit installed with current version Sync. It's the base 6 speaker, stock as of right now. I would like to pick your brain to see if I'm headed in the right direction, and if I'm understanding all this info seem to very knowledgable in this area as you post quite a bit. If you have the time, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Scott

No need to reply, I dug some more into some of your more recent post on the issue and have found my answer. I will be ordering soon, and as far as running all new wires I see that I will not need to. Unfortunately my sony amp is in the center console of my truck so I'll have to dig into that and run some speed wire to there from my 4 channel. Thank you again for your detailed answers to others on this topic it has been extremely helpful.

Hey bud really appreciate your post on this forum and DIYmobile audio on the Fosgate DSR-1. Cant seem to find any recent talks about it and was hoping you could give me an update on how its working out for you and if you could recommend it. Recently purchased a 2014 FX4 with the sony and everything is controlled through the nav and it seems this is my only option. I will be adding 4 channel and mono for subs. Components in front, coax in rear and running new wire from the amp to each speaker.

Ok, so after doing some more reading thru your post I now understand why you used the DSR1. But I needed to ask, did you encountered any "Hissing" noise when connecting the DSR1 using the dedicated Plug-n-Play harness?. Can you still use the factory head unit fade/balance and bass/mids/treble adjustment of the ford head unit?

I saw your post about the Chrome appearance. If you replace the door handles and decide to sell let me know. Im looking to replace mine to chrome. FYI mine have the door sensor cut out on both front doors. Im in SA so shipping wouldn't be that much.

I am installing the same tire as you on my 2016 F 150 when it arrives. I have a 20x9 +18 aftermarket rim. Do you think I will have any rubbing issues without a leveling kit?
