If installed on the wrong side it could push the spring outward towards the control arm, instead of in to increase clearance.

Default 2017 RCSB 2wd and Icon Stage 1 Suspension

It's been 3 months since installing, so I have some drive time on it. I have a 2017 RCSB 2wd so it is light weight to start with. Wanted better handling both on highway and rough surfaced road ( forest service roads in upper midwest). Decided to go with Icon.
Day of installation stock stance on 245-70-17, 0 offset 8 1/2 17 XD wheels-

After the Icon Stage 1 installation-

Installed as shipped from Icon the front measured 2 1/2 inches of lift, roughly 10 threads showing above the adjustment collar. I wanted them set as low as possible so we adjusted the collars up till 1 full thread showed. This resulted in a bit under 2 inches lift and settled to 1 3/4 after about 100 miles, measure the same now 3 months later. Fit was fine no interference as expected with stock tires or with the 17 inch 0 offset wheels. I let the guys at BCB who did the installation do a test drive, they came back impressed. My experience with this suspension confirms their smiles. Here is a Facebook quote from BCB,

Ken came into the shop earlier this week looking to upgrade the suspension in is regular cab 2.7L F150. He decided to go with the Icon setup which consists of 2.5” (diameter) coil overs up front and 2” shocks out back. Installation was straightforward. He wanted to minimize the lift so ended up lowering the fronts nearly all the way. This resulted in a 1.75” lift over stock.Casey and I test drove the truck afterwards and I was astounded. It rode like a perfectly-mannered luxury sports car. Firm enough to throw it around with total confidence, yet buttery smooth over bumps. Plus with 3.73s this tuned 2.7 freggin boogies! My only complaint was that I bought the Fox setup for my truck and now I’m jealous! Here’s what Ken had to say..
“Thanks again, the suspension upgrade is everything I wanted! Drove home from your shop via 167 west then south on 83. The 30 mph curves at the Basilica were driven thru at 45 (had set the cruise control never let off), the 90 degree left/rights before North Lake comfortably handled above 50 mph. Improved, ride, steering response, transitioning over bumps and changing directions. Nite and day change for the better. Made it fun to carve turns again! Front lift settled to 1 3/4 inches after ride home.”If you are considering a suspension upgrade I’d urge you to spend the extra dough on the Icons. I have over 2 years of driving on my Fox 2.0 system, and while I really do like it, I think the Icon system is well worth the extra $600 compared to the Fox.Thanks for stopping up and enjoy Ken!

My opinion is even higher after 3 months. Rides better than stock. Very responsive in turning, transition, and steady cornering states, roll is there but noticeably delayed to the point of feeling like a thicker roll-bar was installed. Gravel roads I have been able to get on, display the far better damping and shock absorbing smoothing bumps and ruts considerably yet having better feel and response to inputs. The rear end acceleration squat is much slower in developing and axle wrap somewhat minimized. I had the suspension aligned a year earlier to adjust for the XD wheels, had it on the same alignment rack after the Icon install and everything checked out fine. No rattles bindings or glitches at all. Since then I have gone up a size in tire to Nitto Terra Grappler G2's 265-70-17 115t to keep tire weight down, and supply some more traction over the stock OEM tires. All it needed now was a headlight adjustment to bring the cut-off down where it should be.

This level is much more than just that. It is a full suspension system improvement, and an impressive one at that. Expensive for sure but fully worth every penny for my usage and desires. Looking forward to those forest service trails after the weather warms a bit. KM

I went over the photo link limit here are a few more.
As shipped ,notice 10 threads show above the adjustment ring. After installing this resulted in 2 1/2 inches of lift. -

On the truck-

We turned the adjustment ring up till 1 thread was showing, getting 1 3/4 inches of leveling. KM

Just picked up a 2018 XL Screw. I'm looking to do a level kit and add larger tires to the stock 17" wheels. I'm considering the RC 2" level. What size tires do you think I'll be safe with to avoid rubbing? I wanted to go to close to a 34-35" tire. TIA

A lot of people claim to be able to run 35's with a level on stock wheels. The only issue you'll have is how close the tire will be to the upper control arm. Your best bet is to get a 34" tire so avoid any possible issues.

What are some good choices out there that look meaty? And as far as the wheels being stock, is the issue the offset?

there’s a member. Motomedic I think, he’s running 35x12.5 on stock platinum rim. 44 offset with a level. All he added was a 1/2” spacer
I’m running 315/70/17s (34.5x12.7x17) on stock raptor rims. That offset is 34

How do I find out what the offset is on my stock wheels?
