I asked the same question to the shop that installed my leveling kit, and they said NO. I want to say I got the same answer from another shop as well. You either do a leveling spacer (I think the smallest you could get is roughly 1.5" to clear the studs) or you do the Bilsteins set at whatever height, but not both.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. Did any of them mention why that is a problem?

I believe that much "Level" would put the CV shafts at to much of an angle.....
When you lift 4" in a lift kit, it drops the differential to compensate for the CV shafts.

I wasn’t trying to get 4”. I was trying to get a total of 2 to 2.5”. ....1” from a spacer and 1.5” from the Bilsteins.

Why won't you just set the Bilstein shock at the 1.75 or 2.1 in settings?

I definitely need the 2.1 for the amount of rake on my truck. Some have said that with Bilatein at the highest setting, the ride is harsh (others say they love it). This will be the family vehicle/vacation vehicle among other duties so I was trying to keep it from being on the “harsh” side. All my previous trucks were SA and when I lifted or leveled them, the ride got worse, but it was MY truck which didn’t bother me. Now that I need my truck to pull double duty, I want to keep the ride closer to factory ride. I don’t have any experience with IFS and all my buddies still drive F250/F350 so I have to go by what I read on here.

When IIHS came out with this, Ford started putting the front crash bars in their extended cabs, though I think the regular cabs still don't have them. You have a much higher chance of getting your legs crushed in a similar crash without the crash bars. I'm not saying you can't get severely injured with them, just saying you're safer with them. You own your truck, you may do whatever you want with it. I'm just giving some people options and my opinion.
sorry I have to be the guy that says fake news.
Regular cabs and raptors have zero crash bars and shares the same crash ratings. That and one can bend the crash bars with simple tools around the garage. IMHO they serve only to deflect the tire outward in event of a crash. Aka tire ends up in drivers knee.
Could be wrong, would not be the first time

I would either go 1.75 or get a 2 inch leveling puck. 1.75 looks great there is tons of trucks on here with it and a whole thread on before and after measurements

Default 2015 f-150 supercrew 157 w/ bilsteins and 275/65r20



Had these bilsteins in the garage since Black Friday, finally got around to throwing them on. Love the new look, thinking of adding spacers. Any thoughts?

These are 275/65r20 falken wildpeak at3w
stock 20” sport wheels
bilsteins front and rear set at max height 2.1”

I have approx 3/4 to 1” of rake measuring less than 12 hours after installation. I expect they might settle a bit more.

I for one do not subscribe to thought that Bilsteins are harsh ride. I suspect those that are saying that want a cushion of air feel from their trucks instead of a firm, planted feel which the Blisteins will give. Have you thought about the 6112's with a new coil and the 5160's shocks with reservoir in the rear. Paired together they work well?

I do know of one guy whom has 6112's paired with 5100's that doesn't like the performance but in my opinion they are mismatched and the 5100 shock is inferior to the 5160's. Just food for thought!
