Just to confirm... the driver side pin is metal for others?

My passenger side is but not driver side.

Even in the video I can see that the driver side pin is black (same as mine) which I know for sure isn't metal.

YES, drivers and passengers side are metal. I think it's time to get back on topic. There's three pages of you arguing about this mod. First you said there's no point to it because there's no space to use. Then when everyone said there was you said the pin is plastic and you will ruin it. Then when ½ a dozen people said its metal you still keep asking. Its clear you don't want to do this so don't. You are WRONG, the pin is METAL. The pin you referenced in the video is metal as well because they are ALL METAL. You can see the different color on the heads at the two ends of the pin in the video. The plastic you are talking about is a thin little sleeve about the thickness of a straw that covers the METAL pin.

This is comical... if what's-his-name just takes a magnet to that plastic-sleeved *metal* pin, he'll see that it is indeed ferrous. If that pin were plastic, it would have sheared the first time the seat back were slammed back into position.

I installed a BuiltRight latch pull in my truck, and have stored in the vertical space behind the seat a blanket, a road flares kit and a roll of the blue paper shop towels. I keep a long, shallow plastic toolbox under the seat for additional tire-changing paraphernalia that won't fit where the jack is located (breaker bar, locking wheel lug sockets, torque wrench, etc)

Wow this thread took a long time to get through. For the most part it was useful besides the odd sidetrack.
Made me second guess the 2017 xlt 302a I'm currently waiting for hearing about all the neat features in the Lariat and higher models. But coming from a 2003 Screw xlt base, I think the truck I'm getting will feel luxury and then someday when I'm close to retirement I can get one of the higher end models and still feel like it's an upgrade!

My father in law has had the 2015 Lariat sport for 1.5 years now and he is still learning neat features and tricks. He's like a kid with a new toy. I'm amazed at how many bells and whistles the truck has.

Anyhow thanks all for the tips and tricks. And the PDF with the list. I look forward to spending time with my truck... if the wait ever ends

On My '14 Explorer it will slow me down to 14km/h (Yes I'm Canadian eh) and then chime and shut off. It is by far my favorite feature on my explorer and it was a must have when it came time to order my '17 F-150 (April 28th 2017).

The other thing i like to use the adaptive for is during foggy driving days. I'll set my adaptive and move the following distance back as far as it will go (5 or 6 seconds), and then the radar for the adaptive will spot a car ahead even before I can. Works great!!

Looking forward to receiving my '17 F-150, and joining the group June 17th won't come soon enough!!!

My 2015 with a 9/2015 build date came with a very short strap attached to the release which I could feel with my finger. So I just add to hook finger in strap and pulled. After I released seat back I did take another short piece of Velcro strap to make the entire strap longer so it reached about 1" over top of seat. Apparently either earlier or later build dates did not contact strap, or, having worked in auto plant in my early years, someone did not include strap as required.

Awesome!

QUOTE=MP15TDriver;3920233]Click the (+) button on the gear shift lever. This will illuminate the gears on the instrument cluster and will highlight which gear you are in.

You can also use the (-) to reduce the number of available gears the transmission can use.
Unlock the spare tire.
Use the voice command "Five Day Forecast" or any of these: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...ync-navigation
If you are pulling forward into a parking spot, activate the 360 camera with the button on the dash (1 push) and use the grey lines in the birds eye view to line up the sides and front with the pavement markings. The front grey line on the display will line up nicely with the pavement marking to ensure you have pulled all the way into the space without going too far in.
Activate it using the button on the center console. Once activated, it will remain active at higher speeds even after restarting vehicle. An indication will appear in the instrument cluster.
You may want to consider changing the standard instrument cluster along the top of the display to replace the transmission temperature gauge with the turbo boost gauge. This will be visible on all pages of the instrument cluster. The transmission temperature gauge is still accessible by going to the truck information tab of the instrument cluster. You can change it in the Advanced Settings page.[/QUOTE]
