I got my trans indicator on my dash by pressing + on my shifter
Funny,, that's how I get mine to go away....
When pulling away from the house or leaving work, first thing I do after idling long enough for my revs to come down is select D then lock out 6, 5 and 4. After a mile or so, I engage Sport mode, allow 4th and sometimes use Manual. Then again I have a 5.0. I have to work at power delivery unlike those driving around in cocaine-horsepower EcoBo0sts. Hee!

I searched this thread just a little to see if this had already been posted.

For normal driving my tow mirrors are adjusted too high to see the area immediately around the truck when backing up. It would be nice if the mirrors could memorize a setting for reverse, meaning that they would tilt down when the truck is in reverse. But, Ford missed that feature.

Then it dawned on me... I adjusted both mirrors while backing up and then stored that setting to the #3 memory button, which was unused. Now I can push the #3 button and both mirrors tilt down for backing up. The seat and steering wheel stay the same. The only rough spot is having to shift to Park or Neutral for the memory buttons to work.

Ford didn't forget. They left it for Lincolns and other models. Check out the Forscan thread. You can do this by pushing the mirror button when in reverse. Will tilt down and in to keep you from hitting parking blocks, curbs, children,...

So many options you can change on your truck. Long thread but worth the read. Use the search function.

Then plug it into the sync, stow it in the storage box on the console and forget about it. Now I have streaming music, wifi hotspot, always on gps to locate my truck, turn by turn directions, Siri. What's not to like? I checked online and it looks like you can take an iPad data sim and use it in an iPhone. 10 bucks a month on my plan. If it works I'll have a poor mans sync three. I'll let you all know.
If this works, you should start a new thread for it with detailed instructions. You'll be a hero.

I’ll do that. Next month when I upgrade the phone. Technically it should work

I noticed on the left of the MY View is a vertical string of box icons and right now the 3rd or 4th from the bottom is lit. Nowhere have I been able to find any reference to what that is or what it means or how to control it.

I hate it when my vehicle tries to be smarter than I am, it is like these stinking computers and their spall chukers.

You customize My View to screens you want for quick viewing, which are represented by the boxes on the left. As you cycle up or down through them the highlighted box will move to show which one you're on.

Where did you find that piece of trivia? I spent a couple of hours looking for it!

I upgraded my instrument cluster from the 4.2" to the 8" a few weeks back and just played around with it for a few minutes to figure out all the bells and whistles.
