KWS 2.7

I can't seem to get the [center] head rest off. I can get to the button and push it in but that sucker is stuck!
My point, exactly.

I'll try again later today...

I removed my head rest long ago, and don't remember if there are two buttons? one on each post.

I use the holes there for my phone setup. Bent some stainless steel 1/2" tubing in a U shape and slides right into the holes. I attached an articulating phone bracket/holder to that.
Brilliant!

I thought I had a good idea to switch the rear center headrest with the front, cause it is was smaller, but the posts are a different width.

There are two locks...

Push the adjustment lock in and extend the headrest all the way out, then on the opposite post, push that lock it to remove it all the way.

I am thinking it's to keep you from pulling it all the way out when just trying to adjust.

I finally got mine out. I had tried before and decided that it wasn't removable.

My center head rest fits great behind my double back seat. I drilled a hole in my release bracket and then added a crimped cable that goes around the head rest post. Lots of room behind the seat.

Same here. I removed it yesterday thanks to Chief's expertise.

Thank you for the idea!

I did something similar now. This is my prototype version. I used a 1/2 in aluminum tube and bent it 4 times. since my cell holder arm was pretty short.

Going to see if I can have my buddy bend one for me so the bends aren't kinked. Great mod BTW!

Thanks. Here are a couple of pics of what I did. One is with it pulled out for the pic but it is normally pushed all the way in.

I have a scrap (~12") of the very same tubing that I just set aside (earlier today) for a future head rest hole project.
