I assume you are doing this on the Rostra screen and not just the standard Sync 3 General Information screen?

 

No the Sync3 screen.

CS just let me know that a Video How to is gonna be sent L8TR today. So please check to see if you can do the On/Off as described in my request post, if yer truck is not a 2017.

I'll report soon as I get the info from CS.

I also couldn't get any keypad to pop up on the System Info screen. I tried tapping everywhere but no luck. Hey by the way when are you going to give us that good news you were talking about?

On my 2016 Sync 3, I do not have a System Info screen. Looked everywhere.

 

Sorry for the delay here is the solution to be able to watch HDMI input in motion. We have let Rostra know about the menu popping up at random times and they are looking into this as well. Thanks for bringing all this to our attention we push it to Rostra immediately so they can get their engineers on the fix.


Still no fix for Sync 3 v2.2 compatibility but I know they are working on it. Thanks to those who are patiently waiting for the resolution and know that we are bugging Rostra for the firmware on a daily basis. As soon as we have it I will post a message here but as always our customers are always welcome to give us a call for a status update.

I tried a press and hold yesterday but turns out it's a press and hooooooold. I was able to enter the code this morning but haven't tested it yet. Thanks again camera-source!

 

Thanks, Chris. I just did the screen trick. I'll be testing it in a few to see if I can use Google Maps via HDMI while driving.

Cameras on the mirrors work great. Yesterday the screen Pop-Up did NOT happen??... I'm going for a test drive and will report back.
