That does suck that it can't be used while driving, especially since it's not mentioned anywhere in the description as far as I know. I wasn't going to use it much anyway since everyone has a phone or ipad already but now that feature is pretty much worthless.

By the way, HuskerHarley, the image you posted is the same screen my system gets stuck on as well. But unlike you, mine will fix itself after the next camera activation. Have you let Rostra know yet? I'm going to try to see if there's a pattern to my problem before I contact Rostra.

 

If you use yer turn signal it unfreezes the screen?

Haven't said anything to CS because I thought they monitored this thread...After a few more days with it, I'll let em know...I don't know what I'm doing to make the screen freeze, it just seems to appear on its own when I'm listening to music.

I'm really bummed about the HDMI situation.

Sure reads that way to me. How are you going to see Navigation if it shuts off while moving?

Thanks for the input/feedback guys. I sit in limbo waiting on firmware that support v.2.2. The update needs to come soon or I am going to pull the Rostra and go back to the floating navigation of the original CS option.

 

Yes, when my screen freezes on occasion (which always occurs after the side cameras activate) the touch screen becomes unresponsive. I just activate the side cameras again with the blinker and it always returns the screen to normal.

Yeah, the documentation you posted is pretty clear that the HDMI connection should work while moving. I'm also surprised that a fix for 2.2 hasn't come out yet. Is anyone in contact with Rostra about its current status? Rostra makes some great products but their customer service sucks. I have a feeling we'll be waiting awhile for a fix to our screen freezes.

Yes. Chris from CS has spoken with them. I was told they were supposed to have an update almost two weeks ago.

I can't get this unlock code to work on my 2017. Please see if you or anyone can do this on your Sync3 screen:

From the main menu press "System Info"

On the system info page press where it says "Copyright"

Then a keypad will come up, enter "9999" this will disable the speed block or enable it if it is off.
