I just got a $20 front camera off Amazon. I wasn't sure how the OEM front camera would work with a Lariat grille. Hoping it will display with the correct ratio and everything.

Default Camera help

I just bought a 2013 FX2 and it has a front camera but I have no Idea how to use it. Is there a combination of buttons that I need to push to enable it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

This weekend I installed the camera and a mini DVR (I'm having the front camera function as a "dash cam" as well). That went relatively smoothly, but the video appears to be slanted, despite the camera being level with grille. So I just bought another camera hoping that's better (because it's not like my grille could be off level that much).

The other issue is that it's hard to find a great camera location that works both for a dash cam but also shows the front bumper. Currently the camera is mount under the top of my XLT grille, but I might move the new one down towards the bumper.

Pics to come!

Haven't attempted connecting to the Sync 3 screen yet. I have a wiring diagram so I'm 90% sure I'll cut into the correct wires, but want to make sure the new camera doesn't show a slanted image first.

@CJW91

Did you made any progress integrating your new front cam into the Sync3 system ?
