Once you flip to D, the front camera starts showing the image and will continue to do so for 30 secs (timed) or until you drive to 7 MPH, just like OEM.

You can manually engage the cameras by holding the power button for 3 seconds, then you cycle through the cameras by pressing the button once.

To exit the "camera mode" (my term) you hit the vol/on/off button for 3 seconds and youre back to normal "stereo mode" (again, my term).

Whats cool is that the behavior of the "stereo mode" does not change when you engage "camera mode", that is, if you have the radio on, it stays on while you move to "camera mode". Similarly, if the radio is off, is stays off.

I think its a good solution because the button is much more accessible and its larger, so its easier to engage. Its also more comfortable than stretching your arm across to hit the location where the OE 360/Hazard button is at.

The front camera is a piece of cake to install. The side cameras, not so much. I hope to be done with both sides this week. We're hitting low 30s already (for a high temp) and the garage gets a bit crisp.
I hope they take care of ya...Reports like this will open the flood gates-->

So are you saying, once it is programmed in it will automaticly switch between front and rear camera, when you switch gears with the limitations of speed and 30 secs? I am curious if you are trying to parallel park in a small area, will it switch automaticly between front and back when you switch gears of do u have to fuss with the radio button?

Sits inline with the APIM.

If they would make the system work with the factory 360* Camera switch, I would buy it in a second.

The 360* Camera / Emergency Flasher combo switch takes 5 minutes to install and costs $8.52. It is logical and, most importantly to me, looks factory in form and function. (Want to see the cameras ? Press this 360* camera button)

I wonder if they would entertain an option to enable use with this switch ? I would be willing to pay for the ability to do that.

As far having to stretch my arm over to hit the button, I think that it would be better for me than having to push and hold a button for 3 seconds.

Yeah they're good. Great support, Im talking to the owner of the company and they're very responsive. Havent had any issues with the front camera yet. Side cameras I am halfway through installation. Its laborious but very straight forward. I hope to be done this weekend and then post a thorough review and pictures.

I like the system. For the price cant be beat.

Well like I said, its more intuitive to me to have it on the vol button. Pressing it isnt a big deal. Plus, dont you have to do the same with the OE 360 system? Hold to engage, press to rotate through the cameras?

I am not sure. I guess having the OE button would be nice. The problem I see is, what if you already have the stop/start button there in addition to the hazard? You dont have space to put the 360 button anymore, so which do you swap out for?

You see the dilemma?

EDIT: how are the buttons arranged if you have on the dash, the HDC/traction ctrl and start/stop/hazard button? Where does the 360 camera button go?

Also, they are at the mercy of Ford for supply of switches. Given Ford's history with parts delays, it would certainly hamper their ability to sell their kits.

doesn't look any more wildly out of place than the front camera on the '17 raptor.

I am unsure how pressing the Volume button is more intuitive for camera operation than a camera button, but to each his own.

You press the camera button and one of the cameras is displayed. To me it would make sense for the default to be the front camera and then subsequent presses would rotate through the remaining cameras on the truck, if any.

I have no idea about the Start/Stop button ? I have several friends with F150s and theirs are like mine - a large emergency button only on the right, HDC / Traction Control on the left. I have not seen a Stop/Start button yet.

As far as parts delay, I guess it might make a difference to them if there was an issue. I bought one for myself when I bought the HDC / TC button for my buddy's Platinum and both were here in two days from Tasca Ford.

If it is just a programming option it doesn't seem like it would be that big of a deal to offer both ??

Not trying to be argumentative - I just like the idea of the camera button because it is so cheap, easy to install, is intuitive and uses factory hardware.

I do agree that having the OE button makes it look neat. I guess we'll have to hear from them why they went with the vol button.
