Yeah, the side mirror install looks like it could get a little tricky. I saw the side camera kit comes with a hole saw bit. It seems like this install does not have any room for error. When I call them, I need to be sure that these cameras can be installed on tow mirrors, which is what I have. I have one of the instrument techs here at work that will give me a hand. He is very experienced in punching holes in the right place lol, and running the wiring.

I'll keep y'all posted.

Great! I'm sure looking forward to your next post.

On another subject, I opened up my dash last weekend. Again, in my case I have a 2016/Lariat/502A. I have and IPMB there. But, as expected, it is the one with only one connector and for the 360 camera, we need the one with two connectors. So this marks the end of this.

I hope that camera-source kit works.

I hope that they upgrade their site soon and post some videos of the system interacting with Sync3... I think that this would make them one of the first to offer a commercially available product to connect with Sync3 third party cameras...

What will the side cameras do for you if you are not BLISS equipped already? I have a burning desire for the front cam, but Im not really sure of the advantages of the side or 360 views (XLT 16). Please enlighten me.

Parking near curbs or tight spots. Say someone parks right next to you in parking lot.

The side cameras would give you a blind spot view on your Sync screen. It is activated when you use your turn signals. Or at least that's what is says on their website.

We knew this, I have the same IPMB you have on a 302A...

So do I, but from what I gathered from my conversations with them, it will work nicely and somewhat different than lockpick. Its not a bypass like lockpick is and doesnt add stuff, so it should be faster/smoother operating.

Agreed. I'm sure they're working or will be working very soon with the Sync3 crowd. Its a fairly new system which is why its not on their website yet and the OE-style camera is custom made.

BLIS is a light on your side mirrors saying you have stuff on your Blind Spot (Information System).

I drove a 502A with it for a day when I was shopping last year, and I never ever paid attention to it. IMO, its useless.

I'm very eager to see this custom camera that integrate into the standard grill. I also wonder if it will be able to be fitted with the OEM tubing that connect to the windshield washer fluid...

As for the addon module, I think I remember reading that it integrate with the already in place backup camera (I think it was you...) but I still hope that the module has at least 4 camera inputs; front (1x), sides (2x) and extra.

The extra would be nice to connect, either by cable or thru a wireless system an extra camera that could be mounted on a trailer...

I hope that the system will be able to display any cam at any speed...

I know, I know... A lot of "hoping" and "wishing"... But christmas is nearing, so may be Santa can produce some magic ? :-)

He posted pics of it, read the thread from the start. It is an OEM bracket and does have the hole for the washer/hose.

Read the thread again, he answered most of your questions. You have a total of 4 inputs and one is used by your oe rear camera.

We finally have the Ford front/side camera portion of our site updated with the new products... sorry for the delay. The kit that TexasFording purchased is part number EVI-FTRFOE270-8 and is located here:

EVI-FTRFOE270-8

The important fact to note about his kit is that it uses and OEM front camera housing assembly, which means you will need to replace your entire front grille in order to get this kit to fit. We don't sell grilles so you would need to contact your dealership parts department or do an online search for other suppliers of the factory grille with the cutout for 360 front camera.

Otherwise, you can do our surface mounted front camera (XL and Lariat models only), which mounts directly to the surface of the top rung of your stock grille. This kit is easy to install and doesn't require grille replacement, which makes it a bit more cost effective as well. You can find that version here:

EVI-FTRFSM270-8

We have multi-camera integration kits for all years from 2013-2016 for both 8" and the 4.2" screens. See all our camera integration kits here:

All Camera Source Ford front and side camera integration kits.

As always, if you don't see something you need just drop a note and we can customize it for you.

Thanks and happy Thanksgiving!
