No disagreement at all, it was just his initial answer to my general inquiry as to pricing tendencies at his dealership. I wanted gauge his view of Invoice vs. MSRP, and plus/minus. When his unprompted phrase was "Invoice minus ...", I just acknowledged that we are at least talking in the same context. He did not request any deposit, no commitment on my part, and I am free to walk away after delivery if not comfortable with the test drive or deal terms.

Rather than pushing one ways or another over a few hundred dollars on transaction price, the much bigger question is what kinds of incentives or rebates will be possible. Shawn has a set of great discounts that I don't have right now. Don't know what the case will be in two months.

Bill.

That's awesome.....I also received a $1,000.00 coupon today and of course it runs out a few days before my trucks arrives, is there anyway to lock it in?

HERE SHE IS!!!!!!!!! Boy what a process though.. I almost felt bad for them. Was promised signed sales agreement with 1k under invoice---- whelp the invoice prices apparently went up- so the finance manager was there with the new invoice and tried to give me and hubbs some song and dance-- I said "nope-- not happening" and after several minutes came back and he said that they would make it right. He was so puzzled that my invoice list was different than his.. HA! So they made it right-- got $2500 in rebates and less my $500 deposit.
THEN he tried to sell me the warranty. I pulled up Lombard and told them that what I could get it for online plus Lombard had a black Friday deal that I emailed about and Lombard had said that since I emailed they would honor it because I couldn't buy until my truck was delivered-- so got 7 years, 125k miles for $2230. He did suggest the tire warranty and hubby bit-- $455 for 7 years.

Then they BEAT my credit union financing. Capital One.

Not sure HOW they made money. All he kept saying about the deal was "boy, someone screwed up" but he wanted to make it all right.

I'm a happy girl!!!

Yes
Just initiate the paperwork. Your dealer will help

Does it also expire Dec 24th? Call your dealership. Work only with the Sales Manager. Have them print the certificate off of Vincent and put it in your file. Have them call the dealer # for Ford Headquarters and hope they can lock in the certificate since you already ordered.

Congrats and you deserve the deal!

My first world problem, my truck has been in Salt Lake City (rail car) for a week, but hasn't been delivered to the dealership. He thought I would be able to pick it up last Saturday so I went ahead and sold my X5. Picks up the BMW tomorrow, so I will need to drive a sports car with slicks for a few days (or who knows how long) and we just got 8" of snow. Gonna be some wild driving :-(

So I FINALLY placed my order today! Long time planning, yet I'm still not sure I got the best deal.

I went with a 2016 Lariat, Ruby Red, Sport, 502A with a 3.5 Ecoboost. Anyway, I got about 700 under invoice before rebates so I really didn't get the great deals others are getting, but I got it lower than the dealers I was talking to wanted. That being said, should I have continued to push?

Also, I'm trying to get an idea of when to expect delivery. With it being a sport, I know production won't happen until at least January (I'm predicting mid January based on what I'm seeing from others). So say it's built in mid January, what am I looking at? Mid Feb, Mid March? Later? I live in KC and I'm assuming it will be built in KC so maybe that will speed things up?

Hopefully I'll have more info soon!
