Ford is blind if they think the same can't happen to them. $60k should get better service than this. I think I hear a 3.0l V6 diesel running in the background.....what is that?....I'm starting to get curious.

Just called Ford Corporate, was trying to speak with Mark Fields and got Customer relations, she is checking on my truck. Now hears the interesting part, I said before I take delivery I want to know why the truck had a campaign on it and need to know what they did to it, after all I don't want a truck that's been jacked, she said campaign means recall and she showed no recall, but I said I personally saw a document that showed campaign, bottom line she say's Ford does not and probably will not tell you anything about what happen to it. Buyer Beware!

Lol then you shouldn't buy a new vehicle at all! Any new vehicle you buy could of been torn apart at the plant.

Not saying it doesn't suck, but this applies to all manufacturers. I've seen BMWs get near totalled in shipping and get repaired and re-painted at port (upon entering US) and by law its considered an extension of the factory, BMW (nor does anyone else) disclose this, and sells as new.

Agreed. One thing I've learned by being on this forum is people have absolutely unrealistic views about how their $40k - $60k vehicle. And I am not saying there aren't legitimate problems that ford needs to fix, handling of the issue can certainly be better, etc.

Maybe what I'm trying to say is they should be more transparent about what happens there, and where does one draw the line? Not sure if you know this but Cars an Trucks get damaged all the time at the factory and I see them for sale and the Dealer only Auto Auction, they have a Cat F on them which tells everyone what the damage was and how much it was to fix, so the point is that vehicle was not sold as new, again I ask at what point do you tell customers? ]

What happens at the factory stays at the factory...vehicles get engines changed, trans changed, etc...and that goes for all manufacturers, what other manufacturer tell you what kind of repairs were done to a vehicle at a factory?

I really don't expect any better treatment from another manufacturer. I just won't be die hard Ford anymore. I'll see what the other manufacturers have.

I don't blame any of you all for being pissed, they have a hold on them & they have to rework them & replace a few parts. Hopefully they get them all shipped out soon because Ford probably will lose a few customers over this.

So my truck is supposed to be in today and just got a call from my salesman to tell me that it should be today or tomorrow (shocker). But he really wanted me to come in and do all the paperwork to buy the truck so I don't miss out on the Friends and Family deal. I told him again, that I get that deal anyway through my employer who has a corporate discount setup with Ford. I ordered my truck that way before the sale started anyway. I told him that I wanted to see the rebates when they come out to tack on to the X Plan price, plus the $1500 in rebates that are available at the time I ordered. He then goes on to tell me that I can't combine any new rebates to the X Plan rebates because "X Plan rebates are the rebates. You can't add anything to them." So then I asked him how can I use the $1500 rebates with X Plan but none of the new ones that are coming. Of course, couldn't answer that. Just kept trying to get me to come down and sign the paperwork today which conveniently is the last day of the month. I then just told him that I am not buying a truck at this point without seeing it first. Thought I would share. Watch out for these guys. They will say anything. I wish another dealer would get the same truck in and I would buy it. I was pretty offended by his call.

I would be offended too! No way in hell I am signing for a truck that I haven't seen and cannot take possession of. You are correct in that they are trying to pad month-end sales numbers. And, you can most certainly use (most) rebates with X plan, been there did that. However you can only use 1 set of rebates, either those in force when ordering or taking delivery, you cannot combine rebates from both times.
