So, Based on the UAW contract, the production line is closed for the holidays. Is it safe to say that if the vehicle has passed all inspections and can be shipped, than the non-uaw workers can move the vehicle for shipping.

Ok, My truck is now "In Transit". From here out I will only be able to get updates from my Dealership. Basically, Ford Customer Service is not allowed to give specific details as to the location of the vehicle, rail car #, etc. Thanks to those who answered my calls at Ford Customer Service and to Chad for getting me to this point.

I know "In Transit" could mean anything from sitting at the Ramp waiting to be loaded on a train, to in route, to sitting at a TDSI location waiting to be loaded on a truck. Some on here have waited less than a week, others have waited more than 3 weeks before delivery. Hopefully my dealership will give me the rail car #.

Yes & all repairmen & inspectors in the plant are working (not all but most) to clear inventory.

How did you receive your cash offer? Was it an email or mailed brochure? I am hoping to score mine in time for delivery in a couple of weeks.

When I first started looking I received one via email the first time I requested a brochure (didn't even know it was available). Since I ordered my truck that one expired.

This time after several brochure request I did not receive any notification, I had to log onto http://owner.ford.com/ and under "updates and offers" I found that I had the private cash offer...did the happy dance!

Hope this helps...Good Luck!

Default Ordered 12/29 4x4 Lariat

I finally did it!

I've been looking and researching for a year and last Tuesday I ordered my truck. I'm hoping this thread will ease the pain of my wait and help educate me on the process. I have a lot to learn on how to track the progress on my truck. I have my preview order sheet but doubt that will tell me anything for a while. Anyone that can help me with the process of getting info of my build would be greatly appreciated.
