I finally got the price I wanted from the dealer - $1,700 under invoice! (2016 SCrew, 3.5L EB, FX4, Max Tow, Twin Panel Moonroof, Tailgate Step, PDRB, and Tech. Package, Black w/ Medium Camel int.)
Thought that was great! But now that I gave him a $500 deposit, I haven't received any information to track my order. I signed the check on 11/19. He says tht they put the order in, then once it gets "accepted" it goes into and "order bank". That's when the VIN gets created and then its 6 weeks or so. He also says that the plant shuts down for two weeks during Thanksgiving/Christmas, which is why I haven't gotten a VIN yet.
Does this seem right? Or a load of BS?
I didn't get my VIN from the dealership. I got it from Chad (User: FordService) using my last name and dealer information. You should be able to do the same.
Careful getting excited about getting a VIN. I ordered 9/23/15 Had a VIN shortly thereafter with a build date of 10/26. Still Pending on completion. How do you folks Email this Chad at Ford Service?
Just picked up the truck. The wait is finally over! Truck is incredible and can't wait to start on the mods! Seats cool and heat great too!

I forgot to mention, I called Ford Marketing (option through the Ford Service number) yesterday to check similar trucks in the area going out 500 miles (which there wasn't) and the rep gave me a $1k private cash offer on the spot with the code I used it today with no problems. I have been trying to get another $1k offer for 6 weeks after my fist one expired. I know this subject has been discussed a ton on here and in several other threads. Hope this helps.
My truck is now officially in Orlando at the rail station about an hour away from the dealer. They are hoping to get it tomorrow or on Monday. The wait looks like it is finally over for me as well.
