Then, i think i would get some gel-cote and work it in to the cracks and smooth it out.
If that dont make a difference.... hello, travel agency!

Bear, that's exactly what I would do. Easy enough to get the gel coat close to matching, or at least close enough for a shower. My parents started cracking and they just fixed the surface but too much damage had been done underneath to the wood subflooring. It had to all be cut out and replaced by the end of it, but my dad is a procrastinator. Lol

There is a company called NAPCO that makes inlays that are flexible, and you put them down with adhesive. It won't ever leak. I've seen their products on Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, Ebay, etc. However, the largest size they sell to the public is the 24 X 40. So, I found their phone number and gave them a call - as they are open 24/7. The lady on the phone was hesitant to answer my questions because they do not sell to the general public. However, I did coax enough information out of her to confirm that, yes, they DO make an inlay that will fit my shower and also got a couple of phone numbers of dealer/installers. I am going to make a couple of calls today, and hopefully come up with a resolution. Unfortunately, my dumb *** left the phone numbers in a word doc on my laptop at home, lol. Hope I can access it from work.....

Ohhhhh.... forgot to mention this about my project. I called my Buddy late last night, and he said "I went to the wrecking yard last night and was looking for a 2WD AOD for you". Ever since I told him I was thinking about going auto for this 351 swap, he's been excited to build one, hahaha. I failed to take pics, but he was giving me comparisons of the 4R70W parts (which is already beefier than the AOD) vs. the 4R75W parts. Then he was telling me about the VB mods he wants to do, and the upgraded pressure control. Kind of got me excited.

Didn't have the heart to tell him I had just ordered a flywheel for a T5, lmao.

Re-read the first page, - to remember how it all started. It could of turned into a 4six vs 5four thread....but it didn't. There's been plenty of those in the past on other sites. Good ole w0lvez sure got in on this one early lol.
