Thinking
Y'all remember me asking about Microsoft Office awhile back? I bought two keys off of Amazon. Checked them both on the Microsoft site when received, and they came back valid. Installed one on my office PC, and held the other to put on my wife's new laptop which was yet to be purchased. In the three weeks I waited, Microsoft flagged that key as "blocked" and un-usable. I got no reply from the seller (big surprise, right?) so I filed a claim with Amazon who refunded me for both. (Hard to say how long it might be before MS flags my I stall and I can't use it/update it.)
The good news: I bought an Office Home & Student version off eBay that came in the mail in a sealed package with a "key card." No problems installing, and I feel much better than just being emailed key numbers like the first round.

There was no "popping up," White. MS simply rejected the code when I tried to install it on the laptop. Sometime between buying and installing, MS banned the number. Maybe (we hope) they don't test once-validated keys after install. I haven't re-tested the one installed on the PC. (Leave sleeping dogs lie and all that.)
They do verify your licenses all the time though in Windows 7 and up. I have first hand knowledge of that being true.
I randomly have Windows 7 PC's say the code is no longer valid. Sometimes re-entering the code works, and sometimes I have to call them. I've had it happen with Office installs too. You may have been able to get them to re-issue a code to you. Usually you call in, and they will ask you to switch to text messaging, so it's a fairly quick process.

I also bet Dorman figures cutting the tailgate for the pin to fit, "What's the problem with that?"
I've had excellent luck Dorman over the years. So far 100%.
Saved the day on occasion. Ford quit making EGR pipe adapters at the manifold at one point. Dorman was the ONLY supplier to be found at the time. That was a big save, that adapter was engineered special, just for that. Noting else would work without leaking.
Good luck finding that part in salvage. Those rust even in the south lol.

It was a 3.5. Ford would never put the 3.7 in the king ranch. Personally I'm not a big fan of the 5.0. The power difference between the 3.5 and 5.0 '11-'14 years was much greater than 2019s imo. They are closer to neck and neck now in many performance tests. I absolutely LOVE the color combo of that one
I downloaded the pics of the one at DJ's dealer to my phone but when I tried to post them it said "file cant be uploaded" I'll try another way
