Now that is pretty cool. I remember a guy on FB a few years ago with one of those he "modded" and swore up and down it could outrun a lightning. Now we all know that's BS but still a very cool truck.
Good morning thinkers!- just checking in- hope you fellers had a good weekend- its been a-holes and elbows around here at the salt mine - (im an elbow, by the way...)
Speaking of a-holes- yep, i think our buddy has reinvented reinvented himself again- time will tell-
You fellers have a great day!

How close are you to Evansville, 2100? I have a couple of friends on another forum.... one lives in Evansville, and another not too far from there in Sebree, KY.
My heads I bought are through Tri-State in Evansville.
EDIT: I decided to "test fit" a couple of things on the motor last night. LMR gave me the wrong info on the oil pickup tube..... going to call Ford this morning and see which pickup tube I need to get for this.... the tube they told me to get is for a 302, not a 351. The output flange on the oil pump sits a little skewed on the 351 in comparison. Back the the kitchen.....

Pan is not the same as the 302 (351 has larger main caps/bearings). However, I do have the Ford Racing 351 swap pan which is a dual sump style, like the Fox Body OEM pans. I called and had a lengthy conversation with Ford Racing today. Got a really nice guy on the phone, and he gave me the specs they used. For anyone interested, Ford used a production pickup tube from a 79-91 Crown Vic that came with a 351W. The part number is D9AZ-6622-B and crosses to a Melling 83-S1 tube.
Had a pretty fun conversation with him. He confirmed that using the convertible motor mounts was going to drop the motor down a bit more. A drop bracket will need to be made for my sway bar, or it will rub the pan. Not a big deal. I can make some up pretty easy with round or square tubing.

Go big or go home, lol. That would be an interesting swap. My Buddy had a 99 SD with a V10 that he bought brand new. It would light up the 35 inch BFG's no problem. I couldn't believe the torque that thing had.
Seems like he said 425 ft. lbs?
