Man.... what a day. I changed the oil and trans fluid in both the Escape and Toyota. Still pisses me off Ford/Mazda made the trans filter non-serviceable on the Escape. After that, I went over and played F150's at my Buddy's house. Ruined my HF POS reciprocating saw. Damn thing fell apart inside.... screws and all kinds of crap started falling out of it. Wound up grabbing a Dewalt 20V that tore the **** out of this truck, lol....

Can't believe how clean it cut, and how well it did on the frame......

You too, Brew. Hope you're weekend is great!

I'm going to take the day off today.... spent way too much time laying under cars/trucks yesterday.

Hey fellers, just curious..... we got all of the bolts and wires off the starter on that 06 F150, but the damn thing is hung up on something. Sounds like it's hitting the plate that goes between the bell and the motor. Have you ran into this ever? Just curious WTH could be keeping it from coming out.

.

Friday night was the highlight, we left shortly after the concert. Watched the contest they had going that night, a modeling contest of some-kind, judged by spectator reaction lol.. We went back to daughter #1's house (were I'm storing the trailer), BS'ed for awhile. Decided to crash in the trailer....had to clear path through the exhaust parts first, been throwing crap in there lol - then vac it out. Man did that thing fill up with dust and it was 12* hotter inside compared to ambient... this was at about 1:30/2:00 in the morning lol. Now sure were it's coming from, had it all buttoned up. Didn't sleep much, - finally got comfortable, right before hunger set in, went to breakfast, ditched the trailer idea (fancy shed on wheels) after that lol. It's been hot, but most of all humid out this way, only downer.
We didn't go Saturday or today, had enough lol. Split wood all morning, I'm spent.

There's a few reasons the starter can hang-up. An engine sieze can lock , jam the starter/plunger at an angle , screw up the FW. Engagement can get sloppy on it's from age, -a side to side slop scenario eventually locking on angle. Actually, age doesn't much matter as a cheap built starter may do so at ant time. There should be another inspection on the drivers side. Allows access to the flywheel. Not sure from that point though, havn't had to pull the plate on a modular yet. It's due the seize most likley, IF the engine is indeed seized vs assuming it is.

I tried rotating the motor too..... No lock. Dumb question here, because I've always done this opposite. But he removed all 4 torque converter bolts before we got into the starter.

What do you guys think of this? It's a 2 piece timing cover for a SBF..... making it so you don't mess up the oil pan gasket every time you change a cam or timing components. Wish there was more pics.

Cheese and crackers.... this is sad. I'm guessing this kid was hopped up/down on some substance(s). I pass this place to and from work each day. Glad I didn't work Sunday morning.
