Interesting, I've had that SynPower 75W-90 in the front and rear for 35K, and haven't had any issues.

..... I should mention that it was already making some noise prior to the change, and still does afterwards. But it's still going.

Hey AK how do you have your camper shell 3rd brake light wired? I'm not finding a good spot to route the wiring. Its currently ran around the back window and just dangles by the bed sides. I have no clear way to go into the brake light housing or down underneath the bed .

Mine comes up from the brake drivers side tail light, and through a hole in the pillar right behind the tail light. It also has a 5 amp fuse inline for it as well.

Yea, do what you think. But there's no reason that should of happened, other than the oil is corked lol. I've kept the diffs/breathers maintained, the old fluid looked perfectly fine, wasn't low. The rear was going bad slowly, I've known it for awhile. Somethings up with that stuff. Did you try to find anything on it ? Like I said, I went to Amazon reviews, I didn't google or broad search it yet. Amazon didn't have many reviews, out of that, there was one bad one. That's as far I went with research which isn't much. Never had a problem with M1.

Hmmm I might have to drill a hole then. My bed liner and my bed don't have any holes near the rear light. Not against doing it just wondered how other trucks were wired.

Also did I know your truck had a camper shell? I was thinking AK was the only one. My other project is going to build a stand for it when I'm not using it

Yea, I can't speak for the other weights. Perhaps the rear end just freaked and took a turn for the worse real quick. I guess it's possible, I just don't think so. Not the way this went down. It sounds like it's dry, similar to same sound it had beforehand but now loud as hell, much more pronounced. I haven't heard of them going out like that. Right after servicing.

Hopefully you guys have the full picture. To be absolutely as fair as I can be with this stuff, I wouldn't recommend using it at this point. 90% sure it's the oil. The Valvoline 75W - 140 Syn VV982 anyway. Best I can do.

Mine is done like Whitey's. It runs across the window and down the left side and is tied into the tail light wiring. I have a quick disconnect plug in the middle so I can take it on or off without messing with the wiring.

My truck is 300 miles away until Sunday night. But if AK doesn't get to it before me, I sure will.

You can see it in this pic.... but not really where it comes out of, lol. It is usually tucked under the trim... but it must have got dislodged while I was loading the truck here.

All that crap on the passenger side is gone now. There was a POS light that busted when I was unloading it. Never worked anyway, so I tore it all out.
