A guy I know blew up his 6.0 vortec by running to much nitrous through it trying to outrun his coworkers’ f150 eco boost, which was stock. I never laughed so hard in my life

[QUOTE=white89gt;6885031]These damn things always heavily favor GM. Even the GM guys are calling these idiots out in the comments. If it was an apples to apples, this 460 would've smashed the 454./QUOTE]

I was yelling at the tv for most of those episodes!

Were using the same cam in each to make it fair, it is a special grind just for big chevys
Why not use cams designed specifically for each engine?

Looks like a 4.0 from where I'm sitting.

Nice looking rig, KD! Don't be a stranger.

Good morning thinkers!-Hope you all had a great weekend! Hope your Mrs. is feeling better, Whitey- What did you have done on your knee, AK?- it can be uncomfortable at times (with two roboknees, trust me, i know!)
Dang, Darrin, thats a cool classic -100!- ‘72?
In my early 20’s, I had a ‘72- straight cab,8’ bed- it had a transplanted 390 and Warner T-18 4speed from a 1-1/2 ton dually and a 3.25:1 rear axle.
It was a frankentruck, but it was fun to drive!
Thats cool to see a Ford powered GM! An old buddy of mine ( that raced in the early 60’s) was telling me that in his opinion, the main reason everyone liked the Chebys was that they were cheap horsepower.- Fords and Dodges were as fast or faster, it just took more money.
Thinkers, have a great day! TTYL!

Thanks Bear, she's getting back to health.... albeit slowly.

Hope you all had a good weekend. Fell asleep at 11:00 pm, then I woke up at 2:30 am, and couldn't get back to sleep. Now that I'm at work, my brain thinks it needs to go back to sleep. I hope this Dr. Pepper wakes me up.

Yes it’s a 1972. Chevy engines are cheap horsepower.
back in the mid 2000s at mud lick valley raceway (dirt track) down here, cars with Ford motors were banned from racing with Chevys because how bad they blew away the Chevy powered cars. Kind of like the deal with the Chrysler hemi in the 60s nascar deal. They closed in 2007 and opened back up in 2018 with new owners. Haven’t been back so I’m not aware if that rule still persists

Quite honestly, the gap has closed significantly with the SBF vs. SBC cheap HP. When I was just getting going in into Mustangs, it was about a 20% higher cost (guessing off memory). The Fox Body's really made that world change a lot though.
