I have Bestop trailering mirrors on my blue truck. I bought them from a member on here and he shipped them to me in AK. The box was so damn big, I don't know how it got thru the mail. I love them, but wish they were the rectangular ones and not the rounded top corner. Looking the other day, these are still available.

I guess these trucks are a whole lot tougher than most people give them credit for.

Glad you made it out bud.
Man, you went through something iduno, catastrophic in many ways. I can sort of relate, the ground is so saturated the concrete walkways are floating...if that makes sense. The limestone in the drive is even rutting up.

Fortunately you could use your truck when that happened, and get around well enough. I bet I'd get stuck in the front yard right now, there's no bottom. Walking on the sod you sink lol.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that bad. That flood down here was due to a 1000 year rain event. I hope y'all don't get anything close to that.

1000 year ! I haven't heard of a 100 happening in the states, I have heard of 500 year occurring over seas somewhere awhile ago. But I don't follow that stuff at all lol. The reason I'm familiar with the 100 year rain was because when we develop a new subdivision, strip/outlet-mall etc, you don't get approval to break ground without a flood plain retention and wet land preservation plan that would accommodate that kind of event. In MI, flat and sandy for the majority so we mass balance to handle a 100 year rain event. So yea, 1000 year....Mother nature always has something up the sleeves, you never really know what's coming next. In the states, seems like mother nature picks on the south east the most. Around where you are or close ehh.

What a start to 2017 guys. Rains, snow, washouts, a disgruntled government, tornadoes, etc. What a year to not remember so far. lol

Brew....you know that you can't kill a Gen 10. Gen 11, oh yeah. lol

It's suppose to be in the 40's today. It's been melting since Thursday, quite a bit. I can almost find my Mustang again. I was ready to put her on the road, then the freaky snow storm came thru. At least I missed it coming back from Fairbanks. Barely.

Finished framing and sheetrocking my laundry room today. Also removed the water softener. I used the new compression fittings to reconnect the copper... man are those NICE!

Yes they are. Makes solder a bit pointless.

Indeed.... especially if your main valve has a slight drip, LOL.

Compression fittings make life so much easier. And with the ability to take them back off... that's nice too especially if you mess up lol

Yeah... that is an added bonus. For years I've been using this type of stuff almost daily for air, and even for some 1/4" nylon water line. But this is my first experience with copper (although the couplers I got were brass because Lowes was out of copper). I am very impressed for sure.
