We'll be back in our home shop tomorrow-Pick up where we left off 2 wks. ago!!- we have had some great weather though! How long you think it'll take to get lil' red in fightin' trim?- just be careful, dont twist yourself up.
I'm not going to pick it up tonight. I'll go get it tomorrow when I have a ride across town. It is to be done by 6 tonight, but my luck it wouldn't be when I got there, and would still have to come back in the morning, so I'll play it safe.
Getting Red into shape won't take long, I don't believe. I have everything at my fingertips to finish it up. First thing, weather permitting, is the tune up and oil change. After that, the radio and dash surround replacement. The exhaust is 2 clamps and a hanger, so that won't take much time. Putting in the slider is a bit more challenging, since the weather is starting to change. This is one thing that will either wait until spring, or I'll get a hair up my butt and decide it needs replaced when we have a nice day.
Anyway you look at it, other than fixing that fender and doing the repaint, it won't take that long. More likely, it will not tweak my interest when it's nice, and will when it's crappy. Typical for me.
Good Saturday morning to you sir! I hope your weekend goes well!-sounds like you have your tinkering well planned!-
Fish swimming in the roads!- there is a you-tube video of a dog catching a fish in a similar circumstance- thats neat stuff- brings a whole new meaning to the term "road kill"!- or a different turn on an old joke: Why did the fish cross the road?
The weather became much nicer today (raining again tonight, damn it). I also got back lil' Red. He drives fairly well considering I still have a tune up and exhaust to do. Transmission shifts fine, transfer case engages correctly, and goes well for sitting for as long as it has. The engine smoothed out and no rear main leak now.
Weather permitting, I'll try and reassemble the rest of the dash and put on the exhaust. I'll start the tune up after I change all the filters and run a scan on how the engine is running. I want a base point and numbers, so that once I do the comp test, replace the plugs (MC of course), and replace the COPs, I'll recheck the readings and see if anything is showing as a problem.
Here is picture (taken by B Reynolds) of the area today. It shows the first snow fall on the mountains behind the city.
Good morning AK!- thats a beautiful pic, but, oh no!- it reminds me of the weather that will be here too soon!!-
Glad to hear ya got red back, did the seal quit leaking on its own?- hope it all goes well, just be careful!! Ttyl- have a fine day, man!!
Not last night, but the previous 2 nights, we got snow in the higher altitudes. The skiers are all giddy.
This is the mountain about 1/2 mile behind my home. This was taken with my Wife's iPhone, so it is HORRIBLE quality... lol. I need to take some pics with mine.

Ran across some pics I've been meaning to show AK. There is a little bed and breakfast type place here in Ogden Canyon called The Alaskan Inn. These pics are a couple years old. I am really hoping to get up here again next month... it is beautiful up there in October. (I am approximately 45 minutes away)
