The fire by me just got bumped up to 4000 acres burnt. 74 homes were lost in one of the fires.

Exactly.... This morning it appeared the fire close to me was going to be contained by tonight. The wind shifted though, and now it's ripping through pretty quick.

I'm going to go try and get some pics tonight, but it looks like we might be getting more lightning. I pray nothing else catches fire tonight.

Glad they caught those two guys Ohio (in Colorado lol)! That one cost families their homes. That kind of negligence...no excuse!

Hopefully no lives lost during fire season/drought.

AK has a map up. I know it's common in some states, but is it annually ...an every year thing ? Guessing it is to some extent.

Wildfire risk out west here is a real concern most every year, at least somewhere. This year, with widespread drought, especially. Growing up in NE Ohio, I never thought I'd be disappointed when it *didn't* rain in the summer.

With regard to fire maps, each state typically has their own detailed site (HERE is Colorado's. If you click on the fire icons, you get details). THIS SITE shows most everything active in the US, but doesn;t get detailed.

Oh, and Re: Lighting -- Check out THIS MAP with near-real-time strike info. Pretty cool.

Damn that's almost 60,000 acres in Colorado alone. AND only 50% contained. It's most likley more than that, that's just from the first link and active. Thinking, - how would a state ever recoup if it occurs often. There must be areas that don't, no time soon anyway before they spark up again. You can't control lightning right.

Between Colorado an Utah, they are the most active states. Without research, I thought Cali would be #1...nope!

The real-time lightning map shows a lot of activity out west. Had to hit America, then real time activity.

Michigan is lame on all the above, not much action here.

LOL, - I was referring to what ever the other guys were smoking haha.

But yea, IMHO It would fit much better in black. White wouldn't be bad. One or other for me. Leaning more towards black...since your wheel arches/flares are black.

The rust, - you COULD doctor it a little to look better. Until you fix it right anyway. I have one spot just before the top/front of the bed drivers side where the clear cracked I need to fix. The rust color washes off, - it's gradually getting worse. Rust sucks lol.
