Heres my truck. I used the wrench as a crude way to show the over lap. the red sharpie line is how much it over hangs on each side (not quite as bad as i was remembering tho)
Also noticed the spacer was still wet... don't know if that was from me moving it around or if it should even be wet? Also you can see the bottom gasket and where it is wet from gas. Obviously this is also an issue I would assume.

wish you were closer... i could use a good mechanic to learn from lol... actually no i wish I was closer. A part of me has always wanted to move to Alaska. That would probably be better than you moving to Indiana; I dont know how long you can stare at corn before youre bored or if tenderloins are tasty to you.

2100...can you take a picture of the bottom of the EGR spacer with the gasket set on it correctly? And a full bottom pic with out the gasket.

I think that you have the first of the thermac systems, and if so, you would need a 60227 gasket.

Is this what you need?

Also I'll note I didn't have this problem before I rebuilt my carb but I had to trash that carb as it was cracked at the fuel filter threads and so this is another one I rebuilt.

I think you have a mix there. I also think that the 60227 will work. If you take your spacer with you and compare the 2 gaskets (60205 you have and the new 60227). I think you will get the difference you are needing. I've run into this more than once..

Now before you go for the gasket, post a pic of the top compression gasket to the bottom of the carb and the top of the spacer also. There is one spot that they can leak and now let it die at idle.

Here's the spacer (you can also see the bottom gasket hanging over again). Then top view of carb/spacer gasket sitting on spacer. And the pic of me holding it is the bottom of the gasket (spacer side)

Also I hate how mobile app uploads them in a random order instead of the order I picked and I can't rearrange them

That 60205 gasket isn't the correct one. You can see the fuel on it in the first set of pictures also. It was all wet in the center section. That makes me think your float is high, or the clip on the needle isn't attached fully/correctly/somehow. lol I'd see if the other gasket fits better, as it should.

Ok thanks. I will double check my float level and try the other gasket.

Is the wet gasket related to the wrong gasket or float level? Or both? Lol
