Man I hope your air conditioning doesn't give you a problem.
All you need is 3.5 CFM @ 50 psi. You should be alright if it's continuous duty.

I hope so, they are virgin..we better get along lol.

Damn I hate those emergency brake shoe hold down clips on this trucks. I had forgotten all about how difficult they are to work with. Oh well, at least they are on. I'm thinking I should of thrown wheel seals on it. I may go throw those in tomorrow, while I replace the rotors. They both had a nasty crease on the inside. For less than 80 I can replace them both, and to turn them would be stupid. Then you would have to clean the e'brake inner surface and turn it also. That would be as much, or more than 2 new Raybestos rotors. I left the old pads on for today, and tomorrow, weather allowing, I'll finish the job.

Brew.....you are going to find that these RV will bake your butt in the summer, and freeze it off in the winter. Nature of the beast. Same with a motorhome, for the most part. The expensive ones have all the goodies to keep it good to be in at 30 below, with the heated piping and pads. Very elaborate, but not expensive to operate, especially when you have that kind of money tied up in a motor coach.

Jeezz, can't so much as recall the e-brakes on the 98, other than a big PITA deleted. It was the drum system, maybe the disc set up is better ? I couldn't get the cable to last. We had a packed driveway for a time there, never fails, someone moves the truck and pegs the e-brake...frozen in place. New cables might make a winter here...grew tired of screwing with it. I don't usually remove stuff like that, but when you gotta be somewhere, that cable can be a bastard!

Well, guess I'll get to see which costs more for the trailer, keeping it cool or heated lol. I'm really trying not to hate on this thing, fight it at times lol. Guess it's a learning experience with no rating, -so far anyway. Have to devote more time to it. Since it's been nice out, spare time has been on the old truck...more relaxing lol.

Another three bite the dust.... this time Seagate, not Toshiba. Why are these happening in three's? LOL.

The disc rears are quite a bit better overall. The ebrake is under the rotor and pushed out on the disc to hold it. Ford uses a pin holder for the shoes hold downs. The original you have to push in and slide. The new style is push and turn like regular brake shoes. The clip is so hard, that it is really tough to hold in position, hold the pin in the back, and push on the new retainer and turn the pin. 2 hands really is tough. 3 would be simpler. lol

Easy shoes to install, but the clips make it difficult. Nice hardware kit comes with new adjusters and springs or about $10. Not a bad deal. The rear axle has a small leak at the seal, so while I've got the rotors off, why not replace them. Good time to refill and clean out the diff too. It's beautiful out today, (strange) so I guess he'll get finished up. Now I have to go do some work. Damn the luck. lol

Whitey.....don't say those Seagates are bad. That is the one I put into my unit this winter. My WD took the proverbial dump. Good luck on your surgery.

2100.....that HB is looking good. Glad it's up and running for you. Kudos.

Damn wind today made it nasty to work on things. I decided to do my interior changes instead of messing with cold metal parts. It was suppose to be around 50 today, but the clouds came in with the wind after 12. It got too damn cold to be comfortable working, so I didn't.

I decided, since I had a pair of extra door trim switch panels. The 98's are so plain, even the Lariats actually. I have black panels for the door switches in lil Red, but with the other pair, I went ahead and hydrodipped those to match the steering wheel wood design. This is a sample of what I did. They go in tomorrow. I see I need to use a camera and leave the camera phone alone. lol Tomorrow I'll post the pictures of them installed.

Nice, AK!- although im not a big fan of wood grain- you did a nice job!- looks like after the annual shut down, im going to have to give blue a shot of freon- the compressor is starting short cycle.-( what i really need to do is take her to the A/C shop and have the leak found/repaired!)- i might just bite the bullet and do that, we’ll see.
fellers,thinkers,countrymen- y’all have a great day!- be safe at your salt mine!

I kept putting off getting mine fixed and the last time I tried to add any refrigerant it blew it out the shaft seal. 500 and a bit later I have a brand new ford system. Wish I would have gotten it looked at before it fell apart though.
