Holy crap.... that's just a "skiff" here in UT. We can get 10 or 12 inches in one night. Doesn't happen a lot, but it does. This was from one night back in 2019. And if it was a work day, yes... I went to work.
I think in the south they pretty much run summer tires year 'round so every car might as well be jellyfish riding a banana down a slip 'n' slide when it snows.
I have been enjoying, cough, choke, spit, the Windows 7 updates that install themselves even though updates are turned OFF, then they send the PC into a loop of uninstalling and re-installing themselves at any reboot. That is real F..ing nice MS. I know Win 7 should be completely gone by now but there are some instances where the client refused to upgrade or their software won't run on anything newer even with compatibility mode. I haven't had too much trouble with Win 10's except for Adobe not printing from IE any more. Once again IE should gone but we have several apps that REQUIRE it to run. One of our software vendors is forcing an upgrade to their latest software as we speak..err type, and it still requires IE. WTF! Brand new software requires old *** IE in 2020. I guess you hit a chord there White. Sorry, rant over.
I'm really fond of what computers can do for me but I really hate computers. DOS was slow and cumbersome but it had so many fewer problems and my entire computer didn't become an open book to whatever\whoever was installed on it. The windows "impersonate" function which allows for remote access even when remote is turned off is something else.
We at one time, talked somewhere on this F6 forum about rear wheel inner liners and they being discontinued. Well, playing around today trying to find the discontinued numbers, low and behold. I found the right and left, individually still available. The kit is discontinued only. The left is kind of pricey, but the right is down right manageable. Tasca shows both in stock and the numbers are
The right - YL3Z-8427886-AA
the left - YL3Z-8427887-AA
Hope that helps someone who was searching before.
Thanks for this, AK!
Prices for these are all over the map. Discountfordparts.com has the left for $44.34, and Tasca shows $95. DFP.com wants $57 for the right side vs. FordPartsGiant's $37. A word of note: FPG's description for the 886-AA part states "Supercrew." I wonder if these are truly only for the SCREW.
P.S. I got my first "Thinking" new post notification today., and missed several days of dialog. I should've known better, but kept forgetting to log in to look.
Ohio, we asked the same question of the SCrew vs the rest when we were looking at this earlier. It's weird. The SCrew and Flareside use the same bed design inside. Both are F/glass. Then we checked the outer panels and the outer liner to bed are the same from 97-14. The 842 prefix is for SCrew where the 9xx is the kit.. We assumed that these would be different in some way, but when looking, only the SCrew's had the optional inner liners from the factory, The rest were only available as a kit. When we broke down the kit, the 842's were stamped on one of the panels. We had to assume that they are one and the same. We/I couldn't see any reason they would be different. The left is designed for the gas tank filler/ebrake pieces, but the right is fully open.
If there is any difference, I don't know where or what it would be. The frames are the same width, wheels the same, One guy I checked with has them on his 99 SCab. He didn't say if he had to make any mods or not, but he works off the highway, and he was impress on how little he had to wash the under carriage of mud.
