I've always used Valvoline 75W-90 because it gets cold here. But some guys use 75W-140. The Valvoline says you don't need friction modifier on the bottle, which I always ignore. The Motorcraft FM is the best you'll find.
Mine also leaks on the pinion seal, very slow. Nothing hits the ground. But when I take out the D/S, there is always a little bit in the cup. Not too worried if the pumpkin isn't even wet, but I do have everything to replace it, lol.
